Chi Linh Pagoda builds a bridge to cross the flood, "bringing electricity to the village" for people in remote areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 3, Chi Linh Pagoda (in Xuan Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District) organized a spring charity program, donating flood bridges, "bringing electricity to the village" and adopting poor students in mountainous communes of Ky Son District.

In Bao Nam commune, Chi Linh pagoda has coordinated with sponsors to build two bridges over the floodwaters across streams in Luu Tan village. After many months of construction, the two bridges (2.2m wide, 18m and 36m long) made of reinforced concrete with a cost of nearly 1 billion VND were completed and put into use.

At the same time, Chi Linh Pagoda sponsored the construction of a solar power system (costing 62 million VND), ensuring electricity for 54 households in Pa Ka village, Nam Can commune and 7 classrooms in the area. The project of "bringing electricity to the village" was implemented by the pagoda since last year. In Huoi Boc village, the pagoda also built a similar power supply system, ensuring electricity for more than 70 households.

Faced with the difficult living conditions of students at Nam Can 2 Primary School, Nam Can Commune, the pagoda has offered a program to adopt and care for 160 students, providing additional support for their meals of 150,000 VND/student/month. This program will be fully implemented within 1 year and may last for many years.
