(Baonghean.vn) - At the meeting with National Assembly delegates, voters of Nam Dan district reflected on many issues directly related to people's lives, including the situation of "ghost" projects and slow-progressing projects that many voters were interested in and made recommendations.

On the morning of December 2, the 14th National Assembly deputies elected in constituency No. 4, including Mr. Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Child Protection, Care and Gender Equality, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of the province, met with voters in Nam Linh commune (Nam Dan). At the conference, on behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Ms. Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - National Assembly delegate of the 14th tenure, quickly informed voters about the results of the 8th session of the 14th tenure National Assembly. She emphasized issues of concern to voters such as the National Assembly passed 11 laws, 17 resolutions, gave opinions on 10 draft laws, socio-economic issues, state budget, personnel and some other important contents.

Recommendations from the grassroots

Expressing agreement and appreciation for the results of the recent session of the National Assembly, voters of Nam Linh commune also frankly raised their concerns and aspirations regarding many major issues of the locality and the country.

Voter Nguyen Dinh Ky in Hamlet 5, reported that although some projects in the district had been registered for investment by business owners many years ago, the implementation was not on schedule as initially committed. For example, the Nam Dan culvert upgrade and expansion project, although classified as an urgent flood-proof construction project, was still behind schedule and some items were degraded when put into use; the National Highway 15A upgrade and expansion project, Do Luong - Nam Dan section, has not yet been invested in and built the entire route, affecting traffic activities. Some land areas in the central area of the district have been recovered for projects but have become "dead land" because of lack of investment, causing waste.

Voter Hoang Xuan Thin in Hamlet 3 expressed concern about the increasingly complicated corruption situation. In addition to major corruption cases that have been handled, there is also the problem of "petty corruption". In addition, businesses and people still have to pay extra fees when carrying out some administrative procedures.

Therefore, voters suggest that the Party and State continue to direct and promote the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste; attach importance to preventive solutions; strengthen the detection and strict handling of acts of "harassment" and "extortion" by officials when handling administrative procedures for people and businesses. In particular, voters believe that the team of anti-corruption officials must be "clean" and impartial to ensure this work is done well.

The issue that many voters are also concerned about is the market for modern medicine and functional foods. According to voter Tran Xuan Huong in Hamlet 5, there are currently many Western and Eastern medicine stores, convenience stores and supermarkets that sell functional foods with the effect of "miracle drugs". They can cure all kinds of diseases from headaches, stomachaches to cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure, bone and joint diseases, even cancer... Many people have lost money and suffered from diseases after using the drugs. Therefore, it is recommended that the authorities take strict management measures to end this situation.

Voters expressed many recommendations such as: policies and support levels for officials of associations and unions; policies for people with meritorious services; the situation of dirty food, meat from livestock and poultry infected with epidemics secretly brought into the consumer market...

Determined to completely resolve existing problems and difficulties

Recording and receiving voters' opinions, representatives of the People's Committee of Nam Linh commune and Nam Dan district explained issues related to authority.

Responding to voters' petitions on the status of "ghost" projects and projects behind schedule, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Van Mao said that from 2012 to 2018, the People's Committee of Nghe An province established 8 interdisciplinary inspection teams and inspected 500 projects. Through the inspection, the province decided to revoke 151 projects with a land area of 36,000 hectares. This shows the province's determination to handle the shortcomings of investment projects.

"For projects with capable investors, the province will continue to extend. Any investor who does not comply with the extension commitment will be resolutely revoked by the province" - Mr. Tran Van Mao stated the viewpoint of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee.

In recent times, the Party and the State have taken many drastic measures to deal with the problem of corruption. In particular, the 2018 Law on Anti-Corruption has added the responsibility of enterprises and organizations in the non-state sector to prevent and combat corruption. Along with that, not only those who commit corrupt acts but also agencies and organizations that commit corrupt acts are also punished.

Regarding other opinions, recommendations and reflections from voters, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will record, synthesize fully and seriously to reflect to the relevant agencies and submit to the National Assembly in the upcoming session.
