Dien Chau District Police cracked down on a motorbike theft case
(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau District Police have successfully broken up Case 818T, prosecuting 3 suspects for theft of property and consumption of property obtained by others through crime.
In July and early August, motorbike thefts occurred continuously in Dien Chau district. The Criminal Police Department of Dien Chau District Police identified the theft of mobile assets, so they established Project 818T to combat motorbike theft crimes.
On August 16, the Criminal Police Team of Dien Chau District Police urgently arrested 3 subjects including Nguyen Dinh Tan (born in 1971), residing in Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district; Tran Van Minh (born in 1994), residing in Ngoc Minh hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune for the act of stealing property; Phan Van Quang (born in 2001) in village 2, Dien Ky commune for the act of consuming products obtained through theft.

Through investigation, the subjects confessed to having committed 18 motorbike thefts in Dien Chau and Nghia Dan districts, recovering 14 motorbikes and returning them to the victims.
Currently, Dien Chau District Police have initiated a prosecution and temporarily detained two subjects, Tan and Minh, for further investigation. Subject Quang is not detained because he is a minor and is under the supervision of local police during the investigation.
Previously, in January 2018, Dien Chau District Police also successfully broke up an inter-provincial motorbike theft case, recovering 18 motorbikes and returning them to the victims.
