Nghe An police arrest 2 leaders of human trafficking ring to Golden Triangle special zones
After nearly 4 months of surveillance, under the leadership of Nghe An Provincial Police, Quy Chau District Police successfully broke up a case, arresting 2 leaders of a human trafficking ring to special economic zones in the Golden Triangle.
Previously, through monitoring and professional work, Quy Chau District Police discovered that Vi Van Nhap (born in 1983), residing in Chau Binh Commune, Quy Chau District, regularly searched for citizens in mountainous districts, including Quy Chau District, to send them abroad to work illegally.

During the monitoring and verification process, Quy Chau District Police identified Nhap as an important "gangster" in the human trafficking ring to the Golden Triangle economic zones for illegal work, led by Pham Thi Tuyet Chinh (born in 1988), with permanent residence in Giao Tien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province.
Chinh crossed the border to live and got married at a young age. During his time living abroad, Chinh got to know many "bosses" who needed to find workers to send to work in special economic zones to serve transnational fraud activities, so this subject connected with subjects living in the country in many provinces and cities to find and lure gullible people and then sell them to special economic zones in border areas.
It is worth mentioning that due to the great demand for people to sell to special economic zones in the Golden Triangle, many times this subject returned to the country and then went to provinces and cities to find "prey".

To eradicate the transnational human trafficking ring led by Pham Thi Tuyet Chinh, under the direction of the Nghe An Provincial Police, Quy Chau District Police established a special project to fight. During the process of fighting the project, the police agency encountered many difficulties.
Many times, the Task Force received information that Chinh had returned to the country. The Task Force traveled thousands of kilometers from Quy Chau district to the northern provinces, but Chinh quickly returned to the border.
At the same time, Quy Chau District Police received a complaint from a man who was a victim of a human trafficking ring run by Vi Van Nhap and Pham Thi Tuyet Chinh.
To return home, after escaping from the special economic zone, this man had to use a foam raft to swim for more than 8 days and nights along the Mekong River. During the process of swimming downstream, the man had to beg for food, sleep temporarily at people's huts along the river, and was fortunately helped by Vietnamese people doing business in Laos to return to Vietnam.
On August 7, 2024, Quy Chau District Police received information that Pham Thi Tuyet Chinh returned to Vietnam via Lao Cai International Border Gate. Immediately, a working group moved from Nghe An to Lao Cai to verify and grasp all movements of the subject.
At 4:00 p.m. on August 8, 2024, in Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, Quy Chau district police presided over and coordinated with relevant units to successfully crack the case, arrest Pham Thi Tuyet Chinh for "human trafficking" and seize many related documents. At the same time, in Quy Chau district, Nghe An province, another working group also successfully arrested Vi Van Nhap for "human trafficking".
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed their crimes. Currently, the case is continuing to be investigated and expanded.
