On the afternoon of March 27, a source from Vinh City Police said that the unit was taking statements from a group of people present in the video "burying a young man alive" shared on social networks.

"Immediately after this video appeared, we investigated and that same morning arrested all the young men in the clip. Even if it was just a joke, it still constitutes a crime," the source said, adding that the police are still investigating the real motive for beating and humiliating the victim in the clip.

Immediately after being posted, this video received a lot of attention from the online community. In the video, a young man was stripped and assaulted by a group of other young men. The victim was also forced to kneel on an empty land by the river while the group filmed a clip of humiliation.
