On the afternoon of March 27, a source from Vinh City Police said that the unit was taking statements from a group of people present in the video "burying a young man alive" shared on social media.

"Immediately after this video appeared, we investigated and that same morning arrested all the young men in the clip. Even if it was a joke, it still constitutes a crime," the source said, adding that the police are still investigating the real motive for beating and humiliating the victim in the clip.

Previously, on the morning of March 27, a Facebook account shared a clipvideo recording young mantortured. Immediately after being posted, this video received much attention from the online community. In the video, a young man was stripped and assaulted by a group of other young men. The victim was also forced to kneel on an empty lot by the river while the group filmed the clip and insulted him. At the same time, the group also called a person believed to be the victim's relative to humiliate him.
