Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company received complaints from a number of households at Yen My slop, Hong Thinh hamlet, Thinh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district about house cracks suspected to be caused by blasting to exploit rocks for the unit's cement production.
To specifically review and evaluate the incident, determine the cause and have solutions to ensure safety for people to live in peace, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company has sent an official dispatch requesting the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district and the People's Committee of Thinh Thanh commune to coordinate with the Company to hire a specialized agency to review, evaluate, measure mine blast vibrations, and have accurate conclusions.

Previously, the People's Committee of Thinh Thanh Commune and the People's Committee of Yen Thanh District coordinated with Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company to conduct a field inspection and confirmed that some houses of households in Hong Thinh Hamlet (near the limestone mine of Song Lam Cement Factory) were cracked.

Yen Thanh District People's Committee also sent a dispatch to the Provincial People's Committee and requested the Departments of Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction and specialized agencies to assess the situation and have appropriate solutions to ensure safety for people in the affected areas.
While waiting for specific conclusions from the relevant authorities, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district has requested Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company to publicly disclose the results of periodic environmental monitoring reports and mine vibration monitoring so that the locality and community can know and monitor.
