Appointment of additional Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Hoa Town

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 27, the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Hoa town held the 9th Conference (term II), term 2014 - 2019, summarizing the Front's work in 2017, deploying the program of coordination and unified action in 2018.

Attending the Conference were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Secretary of Thai Hoa Town Party Committee.

In 2017, the Thai Hoa Town Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations regularly innovated the content and methods of operation, choosing appropriate times to implement movements and campaigns. Thanks to that, the activities of the town Fatherland Front achieved many encouraging results.

Notably, the program "Tet for the poor" has mobilized 900 million VND, giving 1,182 gifts to poor households, families with special difficulties, and people with revolutionary contributions in the area. In addition, it has coordinated with departments, branches, and units to support the construction of 7 new houses; awarded 20 savings books; and supported 17 fire-affected households with a total amount of over 50 million VND.

Implementing the coordination regulations with the Town People's Council, during the year, the Town Fatherland Front Committee organized 32 meetings with voters, thereby promptly grasping, considering and promptly resolving the difficulties and problems of the people.

In 2018, the Town Fatherland Front Committee continues to do a good job of propaganda; effectively implement movements such as: "Repaying gratitude", "Tet for the poor"; "Fund for the poor"; Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"...

Besides, promoting democracy, representing, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, supervising and criticizing society, participating in building a strong Party and government.

At the conference, delegates conducted consultations to elect Mr. To Thanh Son - former Head of the Town's Department of Culture and Information as Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Hoa Town, term II, 2014 - 2019.

On this occasion, 17 collectives and 14 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town for their outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in 2017.

The conference also launched the signing of the emulation commitment for the 2018 unified action coordination program.
