Thai Hoa voters propose to adjust the Resolution on urban classification

Accordingly, the upcoming session is scheduled to take place from October 20 to November 13, 2021, in two phases: Phase 1 from October 20 to November 3, 2021 will be held online via video conference from the National Assembly House to 63 locations at the National Assembly delegations of provinces and cities; Phase 2 from November 8 to November 13, 2021 will be held at the National Assembly House.

Speaking at the voter contact conference, many opinions expressed their appreciation for the National Assembly deputies who have truly been a bridge to bring voters' thoughts and aspirations to the National Assembly forum, and many issues have been responded to and answered satisfactorily. In addition, voters also raised other concerns and recommendations.

Referring to Resolutions 1210/2016/UBTVQH13 on urban classification and Resolution 1211/2016/UBTVQH13 on standards of administrative units and classification of administrative units of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Head of the Urban Management Department of the town said that Thai Hoa is implementing the project to build the town into a type 3 urban area by 2025, up to now has achieved 70.75/75 minimum points according to the provisions of Resolution 1210, with 35 standards met, 12 standards met but low, 12 standards not met and recommended adjusting some contents of the resolutions to suit the local situation.

Discussing further about this proposal, Mr. Pham Tuan Vinh - Secretary of Thai Hoa Town Party Committee also expressed the view that the above resolutions tend to increase the criteria for scale, population density, etc., but the cadres and people of Thai Hoa town believe that population quality is the important criterion. Similarly, regarding the area issue, Mr. Vinh said that expanding the area is not difficult, but choosing the area to serve urban development is not easy, thereby proposing that National Assembly delegates recommend that the National Assembly Standing Committee consider and adjust the criteria to suit the reality.

Meanwhile, voter Nguyen Van Phuong, Long Son ward, proposed to strengthen the management of mineral exploitation and forest exploitation... In addition, Mr. Phuong said that the process of implementing support for those facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic encountered some shortcomings reflected from the grassroots, and proposed not to support localities affected in the short term but to focus on hotspots, severely affected, and long-term...

Also at the conference, many opinions mentioned issues such as the low vaccination rate for the whole population, the need to speed up the supply of vaccines and vaccination implementation, support for businesses to reduce bank loan interest rates to recover after the pandemic, support for Covid-19 testing costs for businesses, inadequacies in managing long-distance drivers, especially those returning from epidemic areas, increasing electricity prices according to the roadmap, difficulties after streamlining staff...

Representing the National Assembly deputies, Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education fully received 11 voters' opinions on 17 contents and areas under the authority of the National Assembly and Central agencies and departments. In addition to the opinions explained at the conference, the remaining contents will be compiled and sent to competent agencies for consideration and resolution and early feedback to voters.
