Vinh City voters worry about the quality of domestic water not being guaranteed
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Hung Dong commune expressed concerns about the quality of domestic water due to the loose management of raw water sources and clean water products supplied to people by functional agencies.
On the morning of June 14, delegates of the Provincial People's Council, including Ms. Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Ngo Thi Thu Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vinh City Women's Union, had a meeting with voters before the 9th session of the Provincial People's Council in Hung Dong commune, Vinh city.

Concerns about the quality of domestic water
After the report of Provincial People's Council delegate Ngo Thi Thu Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Women's Union on the socio-economic development results of the province in the first 5 months of the year and the expected program and content of the 9th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016 - 2021; 22 Hung Dong voters expressed many thoughts, aspirations and proposals to the Provincial and City People's Council delegates.
Concerned about practical issues of the people, voter Nguyen Truong Tam (Trung Thanh hamlet) raised concerns about the quality of domestic water due to the loose management of raw water sources and clean water products supplied to the people by the authorities; requested the province to have solutions to handle the situation, creating peace of mind for the people.

Voters also suggested that, in addition to attracting investment projects and creating development momentum, the province also needs to pay attention to environmental protection, because currently, some enterprises operating in Bac Vinh Industrial Park are continuing to pollute the environment, affecting people's lives, such as animal feed factories and concrete theft stations...

Voters of Hung Dong commune continue to propose that the province and city take more drastic action so that SABECO Song Lam Packaging Joint Stock Company can compensate for 11 hectares of agricultural land that has been abandoned for many years due to environmental pollution caused by the enterprise.
Many voters suggested that the province consider and be strict in reclaiming agricultural land and transferring it to businesses for production and business facilities or planning subdivision and sale of land.
Voter Tran Duc Hao (My Long hamlet) reported that some roads in the commune were planned for more than 15 years but have not been implemented, causing people to not be able to obtain land use right certificates and build houses. Voters also reported that environmental protection fees have increased but environmental quality and waste collection and treatment have not improved.

Some voters also recommended that the province should pay attention to solving policies for those participating in the frontline labor force, have policies to care for the elderly, and have incense regimes for martyrs.
Promptly and completely handle the backlog of waste at Dong Vinh landfill
Many Hung Dong voters also expressed concerns regarding the authority of Vinh city to resolve the issue, such as the Nguyen Truong To street, which has been under construction for over a year but has not yet been upgraded, and the lighting system on this street is also inadequate; the lighting system and traffic signal system are inadequate at some points.
Voters also reported that the waste accumulated at Dong Vinh landfill has not been relocated or treated, causing frequent fires and environmental pollution, affecting people's lives and health; the collection of parking fees on the sidewalk in front of Vinh City Police is inappropriate; the clearance of Hung Dong industrial park has not been completed; the procedures for granting and transferring land use rights are still inadequate; speeding up the progress of measuring and granting agricultural land use right certificates to people...

At the end of the conference, the delegates of the Provincial and City People's Councils thanked the concerns and recommendations of voters; at the same time, they promised to receive and fully reflect the voters' recommendations to the competent authorities for inspection and handling according to their authority.
For issues that have been resolved and answered by the authorities, if citizens do not agree, they can continue to exercise their civil rights by appealing to a higher authority or filing a lawsuit in court.
Directly explaining a number of issues, the provincial and city People's Council delegates also said that there are issues that voters have proposed that require time, research, consideration, and a roadmap for resolution, and they hope voters will share.
Sharing with voters whose interests are directly affected by some "suspended" projects, delegates of the Provincial and City People's Councils also said that in reality, there are long-term traffic plans that can only be implemented when resources are available; however, voters' feedback will be reported to the authorities for research and handling...
