Emulation cluster of Northern Tourism Departments deploys tasks for 2023

2022 is an important year, creating the foundation for implementing the goals of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025; it is also the year that the entire political system and the entire people continue to join hands and unanimously implement the motto "Safely and flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic". All members of the Emulation Cluster strive to excellently complete the assigned political and professional tasks.

From March 15, 2022,tourismHanoi has begun to welcome international tourists, domestic tourists have grown strongly. In the first 10 months of 2022, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 15.38 million, an increase of more than 5 times over the same period last year. In Quang Ninh province, the total number of tourists in the first 10 months of 2022 reached 9,704,000 (355% of the same period in the first 10 months of 2021); total revenue from tourists in October is estimated at 1,228.2 billion VND, accumulated in 10 months is estimated at 20,863.7 billion VND (396% compared to the same period in the first 10 months of 2021).

As of the reporting time, Hai Phong tourism is estimated to welcome and serve 6,040,761 visitors, an increase of 76.88% over the same period (exceeding 33.35% compared to the 2022 plan), of which international visitors are 536,233, an increase of 900.58% over the same period; estimated revenue is 5,437 billion, an increase of 69% over the same period. Ninh Binh province is estimated to welcome 3.7 million visitors, more than 3 times higher than the same period in 2021. The tourism industry of other provinces in the emulation cluster also achieved many important results, reaching and exceeding the set targets.

For Nghe An province, the total number of tourists in 10 months is estimated at 6,140,000, equal to 344% compared to the same period in 2021, of which the number of overnight guests is estimated at 3,950,000, equal to 324% compared to the same period in 2021; international visitors are estimated at 26,300. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 11,052 billion VND, of whichrevenueTourism is estimated at 5,074 billion VND, equal to 482% over the same period in 2021.

It is estimated that in 2022, the whole province will welcome and serve 6,730,000 visitors, with total revenue from tourists reaching VND 12,343 billion, of which tourism revenue will reach VND 5,602,000 billion, equal to 502% over the same period in 2021.

Deploying the directions and tasks for 2023, delegates agreed to continue implementing Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into aspearhead economic sectorsuitable to the specific conditions of each locality. Improve the efficiency and quality of organizing tourism activities to serve the political tasks of each province and city and celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and celebrate major holidays taking place in 2023...

At the conference, delegates exchanged opinions, discussed and shared experiences in improving the effectiveness of management, business and tourism development activities in the locality.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Ngoc Trung - Deputy Director of the Department of Emulation and Reward, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism acknowledged the achievements of the Departments of Tourism under theCompetition clusterAt the same time, the tourism industry of localities is required to continue to promote emulation and reward work, enhance the efficiency of tourism business activities, and contribute to promoting local socio-economic development.

On this occasion, leaders of the Departments of Tourism of the Northern Emulation Cluster organized the review of the emulation and reward titles in 2022 and unanimously elected the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh as the Head of the Cluster, and the Department of Tourism of Lao Cai as the Deputy Head of the Cluster.

Before the conference, delegates surveyed some typical tourist attractions of Nghe An: Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Dai Tue Pagoda, Nam Anh Rose Garden (Nam Dan); Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen) and learned about the local culinary culture.
