(Baonghean.vn) - Many opinions of the 18th Provincial People's Council delegates expressed positive assessments of the question and answer session at the 4th meeting, which took place on the afternoon of December 8, revolving around two issues of mineral management and support for subjects affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the question and answer session, I also questioned Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment about the State management of mineral activities in the whole province. The answer of the Department's leader as well as the response of Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai - Director of the Nghe An Tax Department basically resolved the issues that I was wondering about, as well as the concerns of voters of Anh Son district in particular, and voters of Nghe An province in general.

Other delegates participating in the questioning also gave opinions focusing on issues that voters have long expressed their opinions on, close to the actual situation. The answers to the questions were basically satisfactory, and were positively evaluated by the meeting chair and delegates attending the meeting.

In the coming time, I hope that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the main advisory agency for the management of mineral activities in Nghe An province, will strengthen inspection and supervision, especially illegal mining activities along the Lam River.

In addition, equally important is the issue of human resources to perform tasks and mineral management functions in the province, which are still lacking and lacking in experience. I recommend that we pay attention and supplement human resources in the coming time to better perform public duties. At the same time, after inspection and examination, there should be stricter and stronger sanctions, contributing to preventing revenue loss and increasing local budget revenue.

MR. TRINH VAN NHA - DELEGATE OF THANH CHUONG DISTRICT: MINERAL MANAGEMENT IS ALWAYS HOT AND SENSITIVE, RECEIVING INTEREST FROM VOTERS AND PEOPLE

Through direct observation at the hall of the question and answer session of the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment regarding the status of mineral exploitation in the area, we see that this is an issue that voters and people in the whole province are very interested in. The question and answer report shows that in recent times, there have been efforts by professional sectors as well as authorities at all levels to do a good job of mineral management. However, this is always a hot and sensitive issue.

The delegates expressed their views, asked questions closely following current practices, pointed out difficulties and obstacles, and wished for fundamental solutions to improve mineral management. The Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment also answered clearly and coherently the contents, especially providing specific solutions for the coming time.

As a cadre at the district and grassroots levels, I see that to do a good job of mineral management in the area, there needs to be a fundamental solution, first of all, creating new livelihoods for people living on the river in areas with sand and gravel reserves. Along with that, it is necessary to do a good job of planning from the beginning, granting mining licenses and preventing tax losses, loss of state resources and gradually putting into effective management of mineral resources in the whole province.

Regarding the implementation of support policies according to the decisions of the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee for workers and employers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, I think that, first of all, we must do a good job of propaganda and convey the core contents of those policies to the people. From there, we must promote the role of grassroots officials, especially in villages and hamlets, to best grasp the workers affected by the pandemic. On this basis, policy officials from district to commune levels must guide people to complete the application procedures to ensure timely support for beneficiaries.

Ms. PHAN THI MINH LY - DELEGATE OF YEN THANH DISTRICT: SUPERVISION IS NEEDED AFTER QUESTIONING TO MEET VOTERS' EXPECTATIONS

The Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has a very good grasp of the situations, policies and issues that voters and provincial People's Council delegates are interested in. It is very difficult to satisfy all the wishes of voters and delegates because this issue is very new and needs to be implemented in a short time. Although I have heard the explanation, I still hope that in the coming time, attention will be paid to implementing new policies, supplementing and adjusting existing policies to ensure fairness in reviewing subjects and implementing policies - the most confusing and distracting issue at the grassroots level and among the people. Many people believe that if support is provided to subjects affected by the epidemic, fairness must be ensured.

In the 2 question-and-answer sessions with 2 department directors, the questions were closely related to the topics, concerns and concerns of voters, demonstrating the efforts of the delegates to convey the issues that voters were most interested in to the session. The answers of the leaders of the 2 sectors of Natural Resources & Environment and Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs were all of good quality and met the requirements. To further meet the expectations of voters, the sectors also promised to try to overcome limitations and shortcomings, and make more efforts... But the question is how will the supervision work be afterwards? The delegates and the supervisory agencies of the Provincial People's Council need to get involved, urge and supervise so that the issue continues to be addressed in accordance with the wishes of voters.
