Members of Parliament meet with voters in Quy Chau district.
On the morning of October 3rd, the National Assembly delegation held a meeting with voters in Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau district) in preparation for the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Attending the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies: Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; and Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development; Transport; Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; and Natural Resources and Environment, along with leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Chau district.

During the meeting, representatives of the National Assembly delegation from the province informed local voters about the expected content and program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; the results of the activities of the provincial National Assembly delegation from the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly to date; and key tasks for the coming period.

Voters in Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune, reported that the Ke Ninh suspension bridge, completed and put into use in 2014, has connected the two banks of the Hieu River, shortening the distance from Ke Ninh and Dinh Tien villages to the center of Chau Hanh commune. This has served the transportation, trade, production, and education needs of over 400 households, students in Ke Ninh and Dinh Tien villages, and people in the surrounding areas of Chau Hanh commune and Tan Lac town.
However, in March 2024, the Ke Ninh suspension bridge completely collapsed, directly affecting the lives and socio-economic development goals of Ke Ninh and Dinh Tien villages, and the entire Chau Hanh commune. Voters requested that the authorities at all levels consider allocating funds to build a permanent bridge to facilitate convenient travel and trade for the people.

Furthermore, voters in Ke Ninh village also reported that the Ke Ninh spillway bridge is too low, so during the rainy season, the spillway is frequently flooded, completely isolating 224 households and causing difficulties for students' travel and access to healthcare when they are sick. We respectfully request that the competent authorities promptly consider constructing a replacement bridge to prevent flooding for the people of Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune.
Voter Vo Thai Thinh (Tan Lac town) requested that the Ministry of Transport, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, and the Department of Transport of Nghe An province pay attention to investing in upgrading 18km of National Highway 48, the section from Chau Binh commune to the center of Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district. The project aims to ensure convenient traffic flow to the center of Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district, promoting economic development and cultural exchange for the people.
Voter Le Van Phong (Tan Lac town) reflected that the current housing support level for poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program is 20 million VND/household for repairs and 40 million VND/household for new construction, which is too low and unsuitable for the current context, given the high cost of building materials. The voter requested the Government to consider increasing the housing support level for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households.

Voters in Quan Vi Tu (Minh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune) reported that the prolonged Mong village dam project is affecting the daily lives of the people, especially during the rainy season. Therefore, voters requested that the authorities inspect and direct the investor and construction unit to complete the project as soon as possible.
In addition, voters in Quy Chau district also submitted the following petitions to National Assembly representatives: Upgrading transportation infrastructure; support for livestock farmers affected by disease outbreaks; policies for people with meritorious service; procedures for issuing land use right certificates; subsidies for the elderly; allowances for commune and town officials; inadequacies in fees collected at the beginning of the new school year; food safety and hygiene at school gates; forest land allocation;...

Based on the opinions and feedback of voters, the leaders of departments, agencies, and Quy Chau district have directly responded to and explained a number of issues within their jurisdiction.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan responded to issues within his authority. He also received other opinions and suggestions from voters to forward to the Government, the National Assembly, and relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.
