National Assembly delegates meet voters of Quy Chau district
On the morning of October 3, the National Assembly delegation had a meeting with voters of Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau) before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Attending the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies: Tran Duc Thuan - Standing member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee.

Also attending were representatives of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development; Transport; Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Natural Resources and Environment, along with leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Chau district.

At the meeting, representatives of the provincial National Assembly deputies informed local voters about the expected content and program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; the results of the activities of the provincial National Assembly Delegation from the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly to present and key tasks in the coming time.

Voters of Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune reported that the Ke Ninh suspension bridge, completed and put into use in 2014, has connected the two banks of Hieu river, shortening the distance from Ke Ninh and Dinh Tien villages to the center of Chau Hanh commune, serving the travel, trade, production and study needs of over 400 households and students of Ke Ninh and Dinh Tien villages and people in the surrounding areas of Chau Hanh commune and Tan Lac town.
However, in March 2024, Ke Ninh suspension bridge collapsed completely, directly affecting the lives and socio-economic development goals of Ke Ninh, Dinh Tien and the entire Chau Hanh commune. Voters requested that authorities at all levels consider and allocate funds to build a rigid bridge for people to travel and trade conveniently.

In addition, voters in Ke Ninh village also reported that the Ke Ninh spillway is too low, so during the rainy season, the spillway surface is often flooded, completely isolating 224 households, making it difficult for students to travel and access medical care when they are sick. We respectfully request that the competent authority promptly consider building a bridge to replace the spillway to prevent flooding for the people of Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune.
Voter Vo Thai Thinh (Tan Lac town) requested the Ministry of Transport, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Transport of Nghe An province to pay attention to investing in upgrading 18km of National Highway 48 from Chau Binh commune to the center of Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district. The project aims to ensure convenient traffic to the center of Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district, promote economic development, and cultural exchange for the people.
Voter Le Van Phong (Tan Lac town) reflected that currently, the level of support for building houses for poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program is 20 million VND/household for households repairing, 40 million VND/household for households building new houses, which is too low, not suitable for the current context, because the price of housing materials is increasing. Voters suggested that the Government consider raising the level of support for building houses for poor and near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties to a higher level.

Voter Quan Vi Tu (Minh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune) reported that the Ban Mong dam project is prolonged, affecting the daily life of the people, especially during the rainy season. Therefore, voters requested that all levels inspect and direct the investor and construction unit to complete the project soon.
In addition, voters of Quy Chau district also made recommendations to the National Assembly delegates on the following issues: Upgrading traffic infrastructure; supporting livestock farmers affected by epidemics; policies for people with meritorious services; procedures for granting land use right certificates; subsidies for the elderly; allowances for commune and town officials; inadequacies in the collection of fees at the beginning of the new school year; food safety at school gates; forest land allocation;...

Based on voters' opinions and reflections, leaders of departments, branches and Quy Chau district directly responded and explained a number of issues under their authority.

On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan answered the issues within his authority. At the same time, he received other opinions and recommendations from voters to forward to the Government, the National Assembly and relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.
