On the morning of May 20, the Party Committee of Hung Thong commune (Hung Nguyen) held a Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term to evaluate the implementation results of the resolution for the 2015 - 2020 term, and set out directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2020 - 2025 term. Economic and social development

The Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2015-2020 term presented at the congress affirmed that implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of the commune for the 2015-2020 term with innovation in leadership and direction, promoting the responsibility of cadres, civil servants, and people working in the political system, especially the leaders; promoting the exemplary vanguard role of party members and the consensus of the people, Hung Thong has created a new step of development.

The economy continues to grow at an average rate of 9.2% per year; average income per capita reaches 46 million VND/person/year. Infrastructure continues to be invested in, built and upgraded; especially, the responsibility of the people in beautifying the new rural area and implementing the advanced new rural criteria is aroused.

In 5 years, the total value of construction investment in the area is nearly 37 billion VND. The cultural and social fields have received attention and leadership from the Party Committee and the government, especially the cause of education, culture, and people's health care.

During the term, 2 primary and kindergarten schools were upgraded to level II standards; the physical education and sports movement was widely developed in each residential area and each family.

Party building work is highly focused on political and ideological work; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with implementing Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee (12th tenure) on strengthening Party building and rectification, preventing and repelling ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation manifested as "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

There have also been many innovations in the work of organizing cadres, inspection, supervision, and mass mobilization, affecting the implementation of political tasks and building the Party and political system at the local level.

Building a model new rural area

Based on a frank assessment of the implementation of the resolution for the 2015-2020 term, the congress set out the determination to continue to improve the Party's leadership capacity and fighting strength, promote the people's mastery to create strong changes in all areas of socio-economy, national defense - security and Party building; strive to bring Hung Thong to meet advanced NTM standards and move towards building a model NTM commune.

Speaking at the congress, in addition to highly appreciating the efforts, attempts and results that the Party Committee and people have achieved in the past term, comrade Hoang Van Phi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of Hung Nguyen District Party Committee emphasized that Hung Thong is a Party Committee with a long revolutionary tradition, the hometown of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, a heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces.

Therefore, the new term hopes that the Party Committee and people of Hung Thong will continue to build solidarity and unity, promote the traditions of their homeland; promptly grasp and creatively apply policies and resolutions of higher levels to local practices for effective leadership and direction.

In terms of economy, focus on leading and directing agricultural development in large-scale production areas, commodity production with valuable plants and animals associated with service, trade and industry development. Thereby increasing people's income.

Focus on socio-cultural development; ensure national defense and security; enhance the leadership, direction and management capacity of Party committees and authorities; promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations; arouse solidarity and consensus among the people for the common development of the locality.

The Congress elected the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 14 comrades; and took a vote of confidence for the position of Party Secretary of the commune for the 2020-2025 term.
