Congress of Dien Dong Commune Party Committee (Dien Chau) for the term 2020 - 2025

On June 9, the Dien Dong Commune Party Committee (Dien Chau) held a Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Attending the congress were comrade Chu Van Thiep - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Dien Chau District Party Committee; leaders of specialized departments and offices of the district and 164 delegates representing 300 party members of the entire Party Committee.

In the 2015 - 2020 term, the Dien Dong Commune Party Committee promoted the spirit of solidarity and determination of cadres, party members and people, concretized the resolutions and directives of superiors and the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress into action programs, proposed policies and solutions suitable to local realities to focus on leadership and direction.

The economy and society have grown quite well; the material and spiritual life of the people has improved, the face of the countryside has been increasingly renewed. The professions of machine repair, mechanics, welding, agricultural product processing, carpentry, and leaf cake making have been maintained stably.

Services and industries are developing rapidly, goods bought and sold at So market and the town area are quite diverse; business forms are increasingly diverse, general goods services, food and beverage, medical services, loan services... are increasingly developing. Up to now, the whole commune has 6 enterprises with more than 350 individual business households that are striving to maintain and develop production and business, contributing to job creation, increasing income for many workers, and shifting the economic growth structure in the locality.

In agricultural production, the locality restructures towards reducing hybrid rice, increasing pure rice varieties with productivity and quality according to market demand; producing fields of one type of rice variety with an average annual area of ​​over 50 hectares; encouraging the conversion of some areas of ineffective rice and sugarcane land to grow flowers and vegetables for higher value. Developing livestock farming towards farm scale, linking product consumption, meeting market demand.

Thanks to the economic restructuring towards reducing the proportion of agriculture and increasing the proportion of small-scale industry, construction and services, the total production value in the commune achieved high results. The total income in terms of production value by the end of the term reached 229.4 billion VND (of which the production value of small-scale industry, construction and services reached more than 190 billion VND, accounting for nearly 83% of the total production value); the average growth rate of 5 years was 11.05% per year, achieving the target set by the Congress Resolution; the average income per capita reached 38.2 million VND/person/year (1.56 times higher than at the beginning of the term).

Education, culture and social work have achieved remarkable results. Currently, 3/3 of the commune's schools maintain national standard schools, the quality of education has been improved, the number of teachers and students with high achievements each year is among the top in the district. Maintain good medical examination and treatment for the people. Implement well the national standards for commune health. The quality of the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Cultural village", "Cultural family" is increasingly improved;

The rate of families recognized as cultural families annually reaches 87% or more. The locality pays attention to solving social problems and creating jobs. Up to now, the poverty rate of the commune is only 0.88% (an average decrease of 0.5%/year). National defense is strengthened; political security is maintained, social order and safety are ensured and stable, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong commune are determined to successfully implement the targets of the Congress Resolution, including striving for an average annual growth rate of 12%/year; total income by the end of the term reaching 405 billion VND (an increase of 176 billion VND compared to the previous term); average income per capita of 63.3 million VND/person/year; striving for 100% of hamlets and units to maintain the cultural title; schools to firmly maintain the national standard title according to the achieved levels; Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations are classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better, of which at least 2 years have completed their tasks excellently.

The Congress voted to elect the new Executive Committee of 15 comrades, and elected the delegation to attend the Dien Chau District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Comrade Bui Thi Hong was elected Secretary of the Dien Dong Commune Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; comrades Hoang Huu - Permanent Deputy Secretary and Truong Van Hoa - Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.
