Many bright spots

On the morning of May 4, the Thanh Lien Commune Party Committee (Thanh Chuong District) held the Congress of Delegates for the 2020-2025 term to evaluate the implementation results of the resolutions of the past term and set out directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the next 5-year term; at the same time, elect the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Political Report presented at the Congress by the Party Executive Committee for the 2015-2020 term affirmed that in the past term, along with implementing the goals and targets of the Party Congress of the commune, the Thanh Lien Commune Party Committee closely followed the resolutions, directives and projects of the Party at all levels. The Commune Party Committee concretized them into 19 projects and plans that were close to the local situation to lead and direct with many bright spots.

Notably, the structure of crops and livestock continues to change strongly in association with the application of scientific and technological advances. Thanh Lien has built specialized production areas with high income, averaging 109 million VND/ha; developed concentrated livestock farming, applying science and technology, with a total of 25 farms. People's lives have been improved.

Infrastructure is further completed from electricity, roads, schools, stations, canals... Total social investment attraction is estimated to reach nearly 79 billion VND by the end of 2020. Thanh Lien completed and received the commune meeting the NTM standards in 2016, continuing to build advanced NTM, creating the premise for building a model NTM in this new term.

Security and defense work is taken care of by the Party Committee, led and directed, creating an environment to promote local development.

Party building work has been focused on comprehensively in all aspects of politics, ideology, organization, cadres, inspection, supervision, mass mobilization... Up to now, among the team of specialized cadres and commune-level civil servants, 19/22 comrades have university degrees; 18/22 have intermediate political theory qualifications.

The team of non-professional activists in the hamlet has been strengthened. 100% of hamlet chiefs are party members; in 8 hamlets of the commune, there is 1 party cell secretary who is also the hamlet chief; 7 deputy party cell secretaries who are also the hamlet chief. Thanh Lien commune is also an effective pilot unit of the model of party cell secretary who is also the chairman of the commune People's Committee.

Mass mobilization work has been innovated in the direction of directing the building of models, going deep and close to union members, contributing significantly to creating consensus and consolidating the great national unity bloc, successfully implementing the goals, tasks and solutions set forth by Party Congresses at all levels.

The management and administration of the government are increasingly effective and efficient; the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are substantial, practical, and closely follow the political tasks of the locality.

Bring Thanh Lien to achieve model new rural area

Based on a correct assessment of reality with a perspective of looking straight at the truth, and at the same time drawing lessons from the leadership, direction and administration process, the Congress determined the key leadership focuses for the 2020-2025 term.

In his speech directing the Congress, comrade Trinh Van Nha - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee highly appreciated the dedication and responsibility of the team of cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers from the commune to the hamlet of Thanh Lien. Thanks to that, the solidarity and strength of the entire Party Committee and people were gathered, leading Thanh Lien to develop and the Party Committee to achieve exemplary Cleanliness and Strength throughout the term.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee also outlined a number of orientations for the Thanh Lien Commune Party Committee to focus on leadership and direction in the 2020-2025 term with priority tasks of leading land accumulation and promoting clean agricultural production in the direction of commodity concentration.

Along with that, we need to take care of building culture and effectively solving social problems; and strengthening security and national defense.

Pay attention to Party building work in all aspects, especially solidarity within the Party and within the political system, as the nucleus for unity and consensus among the people to bring Thanh Lien to further development in the 2020-2025 term.

In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Congress elected the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 15 comrades; and directly elected the Party Standing Committee of 5 comrades; directly elected the Party Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune for the 2020-2025 term.
