Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam News Agency donate Green Library project in Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - After 3 months of construction, the Green Library project donated and built by the Youth Union of Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam News Agency has become a special gift to support teachers and students of Duc Thanh Secondary School, Yen Thanh District.

On the afternoon of November 17, the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam News Agency held a handover ceremony for the “Green Library” project to Duc Thanh Secondary School (Duc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District). Duc Thanh Secondary School currently has 12 classes with 420 students. In recent years, despite the attention of local Party committees, authorities and education sectors, the school's facilities are still lacking due to economic difficulties. Therefore, in early 2019, the Youth Union of Voice of Vietnam Radio called on sponsors to join hands in building a "Green Library" at Duc Thanh Secondary School (Duc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District).
After 3 months of implementation, the "Green Library" project built by the Youth Union of Voice of Vietnam has been completed with an area of over 100m2.2, has an outdoor reading area and 4,000 books of all kinds. The total construction cost of the project is more than 400 million VND.

Accompanying the program with the Youth Union of Voice of Vietnam, the Youth Union of Vietnam News Agency coordinated to call for support of 70 sets of tables and chairs, 10 gifts for students in difficult circumstances and donated a Dinh Huu Du bookcase with nearly 1,000 books to the library.
With a rich variety of genres, diverse fields and abundant quantity, the books in the library have basically met the reading and research needs of teachers and students of the school. The project is designed with an open space to create the most comfortable space for students to love reading culture more.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Hung - Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam hoped that the "Green Library" project would become a meaningful gift to encourage and create conditions to meet the reading needs of teachers and students in schools.
In particular, the project was completed on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, as a meaningful gift for teachers at Duc Thanh Secondary School. This special gift will inspire the habit of reading books every day in students, helping them have the opportunity to access a lot of new knowledge.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts also presented the library with books he wrote and compiled.
