The relic of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu (Thai Hoa) is ranked as national relic.

(Baonghean.vn) – On December 23, 2015, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh signed a Decision to rank the historical relic of the memorial sites of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu farm (December 10, 1961), Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province as a national relic.

Mr. To Thanh Son, Head of the Department of Culture and Information, Thai Hoa Town People's Committee, said that the relic includes 4 locations associated with President Ho Chi Minh's activities when he visited Dong Hieu farm.

Decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to rank national relics with historical relics of places commemorating the event of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu farm.

That is the location where Uncle Ho's helicopter landed, now in the grounds of Dong Hieu Primary School; Dong Hieu Farm Guest House, now in the grounds of Dong Hieu Commune Office; Dong Hieu Farm Stadium - where Uncle Ho talked with the cadres and people of Nghia Dan District and workers of Dong Hieu Farm and the location where Uncle Ho visited and talked with workers of Dong Hieu Farm at coffee lot 119, now in Dong Ha hamlet, Dong Hieu Commune.

The historical relic of the memorial site of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu farm being ranked nationally is an important milestone to continue building this relic into an attractive tourist destination and a place to educate the traditions of generations of people in Thai Hoa town, Nghia Dan district in particular and in the province and the country in general.

This is also one of the 4 locations that Thai Hoa Town has identified to build into a tour for tourists when coming to the town, including: Lang Vac archaeological site, Nghia Hoa commune - Bau Sen park in Hoa Hieu ward - Lang Lui temple, Nghia My commune and the historical site of the memorial sites of Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu farm in Dong Hieu commune; at the same time, it is a highlight to promote the tourism potential of Western Nghe An.
