In Tan Ky, African swine fever re-emerged in 4 communes: Nghia Dung, Nghia Phuc, Tan Xuan and Tan Huong.
Mr. Le Duc Tinh - Head of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station of Tan Ky district said: Immediately after the epidemic re-emerged, the district People's Committee directed relevant departments, agencies, and localities with epidemics and communes in high-risk areas to strictly implement the district's African swine fever prevention scenario. Therefore, the outbreaks were basically controlled in a small area, by September 10, there were 7 outbreaks in 4 communes, with a total of 221 pigs destroyed.
Hung Nguyen and Tan Ky districts have requested localities to contain the outbreak; prohibit the transportation, trading, and slaughter of pigs in the area during the outbreak. For localities that have not yet had an outbreak, it is necessary to coordinate with competent authorities to inspect, monitor, and disinfect to prevent the spread of infection to the locality; proactively develop plans to promptly handle the outbreak in case it occurs.
