Offering a basket of fresh flowers to the soul of President Ho Chi Minh, the provincial leaders and delegates of the Provincial People's Council expressed their respect and infinite gratitude for his immense contributions, the national liberation hero, the outstanding cultural celebrity, and the genius leader of the Vietnamese people.

Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, in recent times, the Provincial People's Council has continued to innovate in working methods, styles and manners, improving the quality of its activities; making an important contribution to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the province.

At the 17th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021, with the spirit of continuing to innovate and improve quality, the Provincial People's Council will promote the intelligence and responsibility of each delegate, participate in discussions, contribute many profound opinions to the reports and draft resolutions submitted at the session, improve the quality of decisions on issues under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

The delegation pledged before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh to continue promoting the achievements, overcoming difficulties, strengthening solidarity, performing well the functions, tasks and powers of the Provincial People's Council according to the provisions of law, meeting the general development requirements of the province and the trust of voters and people of the province; contributing their strength and intelligence to the cause of building Nghe An in particular and Vietnam in general to become increasingly rich and civilized as Uncle Ho always wished during his lifetime.

The 17th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council will consider and approve 25 draft resolutions on socio-economic, national defense and security in the area; assess the socio-economic situation in 2020, in the 5-year period of 2016 - 2021 and other related reports; question and answer questions and decide on a number of important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

The new point in this session is that instead of choosing specific topics, the Provincial People's Council delegates will question unresolved issues according to the Questioning Conclusion of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the supervision recommendations of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees from the beginning of the term until now, as well as some pressing issues arising in practice and of interest to voters.
