(Baonghean.vn) - Discussing with the leaders of Hoang Mai town regarding the settlement of petitions and complaints from the people, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation requested that the town study and advise the province to resolve problems and difficulties.

On the morning of April 14, the National Assembly Delegation of the province coordinated with the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Nghe An province to have a working session with the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town according to the program of surveying the settlement of voters' petitions and citizens' letters in the town transferred by the National Assembly Delegation and the Standing Committee of the People's Council of the province.

Proactively resolve petitions and recommendations

Recently, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee have received, compiled and sent documents to the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town 19 recommendations and reflections from voters and 8 petitions from citizens for resolution.

On that basis, Hoang Mai town has actively participated, established a team to review the situation and study legal documents to resolve the issue.

Specifically, according to the report of the Town People's Committee at the meeting, the town has currently resolved 7/8 cases and proposed the Provincial People's Committee to consider resolving 1/8 cases. Similarly, 19 recommendations and feedback from voters have also been reviewed, resolved and responded to.

Along with resolving voters' petitions and letters transferred by the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee, the Party Committee and government of Hoang Mai town also pay attention to and focus on resolving petitions, recommendations and reflections from voters and people.

In which, 21 urgent and prolonged cases under the authority of the town were reviewed and identified to establish a steering committee to resolve; every month, the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee monitors and inspects the progress to remove difficulties and obstacles.

Up to now, 9/21 cases have been resolved. Along with 21 cases under the authority of the town, the town also reviewed and assigned responsibility to the Party Committee and local authorities to resolve 21 pressing issues; up to now, 5/21 cases have been resolved.

However, according to comrade Le Truong Giang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hoang Mai town, although he has paid attention to resolving citizens' petitions and voters' feedback, many cases and feedback have been answered in terms of response, but not in terms of resolution.

There are many issues, especially those related to compensation, site clearance, granting of land use right certificates, investment in construction works and projects to resolve shortcomings in economic development and people's lives... that encounter obstacles left by history or related to current regulations, under the jurisdiction of the province and the Central Government. Although the town has resolved some issues in accordance with the law, the people do not agree.

At the meeting, participants discussed and analyzed a number of cases and opinions of voters and people that are still stuck in the resolution process, suggesting a number of viewpoints and handling directions.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation highly appreciated the town's responsibility in handling citizens' petitions and voters' recommendations; proactively assigned departments and offices to handle the matter; and carefully asked for opinions from provincial departments and branches when there were problems and difficulties in the resolution process, ensuring the rights of citizens.

Sharing the town's difficulties in resolving a number of difficult and outstanding issues and cases, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also raised a number of specific cases and recommendations, requesting the town to continue to study one more step and, from practice, propose clear viewpoints and plans to advise the province to resolve them, ensuring harmony of interests between the people and the State.

Along with that, the town also needs to prepare a report to evaluate each case, clearly analyze the reasons, and propose handling measures to send to the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee to have a basis to recommend to all levels and sectors to intervene and resolve the issue.

For some cases that have been resolved by administrative agencies in accordance with legal regulations, the town needs to pay attention to coordinating with propaganda agencies and mobilizing people to comply with legally effective decisions; in cases where people do not agree to file a lawsuit in court, continue to coordinate with the Court to resolve the matter.
