Vinh University Youth Union received the Emulation Flag of Excellent Unit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2022 - 2023 school year

Vinh University Student Association currently has 10 affiliated units with 338 branches; 5 clubs, teams, and groups.

During the past school year, the participation in scientific research of the student force has had a clear change in both scale and quality. Notably, during the school year, 2 scientific research topics of the school's student group won the Encouragement Prize at the Ministry level; 3 topics were honored to participate in the final round.

The on-site volunteer activities are directed and organized by the Association at all levels with specific tasks related to the tasks of studying and training, contributing to building a healthy educational environment, preventing and combating social evils. Typically, Social Work Team No. 1 (including students from the Pedagogical School and the Faculty of Foreign Languages) provides free teaching at SOS Children's Village Vinh and has organized many meaningful and practical activities that have been highly appreciated by the Board of Directors of the Children's Village.

Activities of gratitude, remembering the source of drinking water, and joining hands with the community continue to be promoted by the Association at all levels with many practical activities, such as: organizing visits to families of war invalids, martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution, helping the lonely elderly, victims of Agent Orange and children in difficult circumstances; visiting and helping students in difficult circumstances.

The voluntary blood donation activities were well organized by the staff, members and students of Vinh University, with many outstanding achievements, recognized and highly appreciated with typical activities such as: Maintaining the activities of the school-level voluntary blood donation propaganda and mobilization club; Promoting blood donation activities at fixed donation points; Propagating, mobilizing and organizing for the school's students to participate in 4 blood donation campaigns, collecting more than 1,000 units of blood. In addition, the school's Student Association also maintains a live blood bank, ready to donate blood directly to patients when needed. During the school year, the school's Student Association organizes a ceremony to honor voluntary blood donors with students who have donated blood more than 5 times.

The Green Summer Student Volunteer Campaign continues to be organized and implemented with quality programs: Student volunteers in the district; activities at SOS Children's Village Vinh; "Supporting exam season" program. In the 2022 - 2023 school year, the Student Association has established a new student volunteer team at the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center.

The Winter Volunteer Program continued to be a prominent activity of the Vinh University Student Association in the past school year. The school's youth donated and supported Tet gifts for the poor and disadvantaged students in Quy Hop and Con Cuong districts with many meaningful gifts. Specifically, the school's Student Association built the "Clean Water for Children" student project in Chau Loc commune (Quy Hop) and Mon Son commune (Con Cuong), with a total value of more than 70 million VND.

Organizing and expanding club, team and group models creates an environment for students to have the opportunity to work in groups, form and improve soft skills; consolidate and supplement specialized knowledge outside of class hours and self-study.

After many efforts, in the 2022 - 2023 school year, the University was honored to have 54 students winning the "January Star" award and 49 students winning the title of "5 Good Students" at the school level; 12 students winning the "January Star" title, 9 students winning the "5 Good Students" title at the provincial level; 1 student winning the "January Star" title nationwide.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded the Emulation Flag to the Vinh University Youth Union and awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 3 outstanding individuals in the 2022 - 2023 school year; 1 Certificate of Merit to the Vinh University Youth Union in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Nghe An Provincial Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 outstanding collectives and 4 individuals in the 2022 - 2023 school year and 5 individuals in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The Provincial Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 outstanding individuals in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The President of Vinh University awarded 52 Certificates of Merit to 52 volunteers in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
