Youth Union members of poor villages rent land to grow sugarcane to raise funds

Therefore, the Youth Union Executive Committee is always concerned about creating a stable source of funds for operations. Stemming from that desire, on an area of ​​2000 m²The village land was abandoned, Thanh Binh village Youth Union stood up to plant sugarcane to raise funds.

Mr. Vi Van Duyen - Secretary of Thanh Binh village Youth Union said: To have money to buy seeds and fertilizers, the Youth Union mobilized the Youth Union members at home as well as those working far away to donate nearly 5 million VND, invested in renting a plow, bought more than 3 tons of sugarcane seeds and fertilizers. All the Youth Union members in the village participated in contributing working days to plant and care for the plants.

According to the secretary of the Thanh Binh village youth union, the reason the youth union decided to plant sugarcane is because first, sugarcane is suitable for the soil here, second, sugarcane can be harvested after only 1 year and care is not required.

It is planned that the money obtained after harvesting sugarcane, in addition to supplementing the operating budget of the Youth Union, will be given priority to lend to young union members in difficult circumstances to develop the economy...
