Singaporean enterprises plan to invest in 3 major projects in Hoang Mai
(Baonghean.vn) - Mepcom Offshore and Marine Corporation plans to invest in 3 major projects in Nghe An: Dong Hoi Seaport Project, Dong Hoi Industrial Park, and Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant Project.
On the afternoon of March 22, a delegation of Mepcom Offshore and Marine Corporation (Singapore) led by Mr. Phillip HG Lim - General Director worked with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to learn about the investment environment in the province. Working with the delegation was Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In addition, the company also wishes to carry out a number of high-tech projects in agricultural and industrial production; renewable energy projects; wind power and solar power; and liquefied gas plants.
Once completed and put into operation, the projects will create jobs for 1,600 local workers.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation and said that Nghe An opens its doors to welcome the Corporation to invest in projects in the province. The province commits to accompany in completing the procedures to convert a number of projects as proposed by the Corporation.

In the immediate future, there are three projects that can be implemented immediately: Dong Hoi Port Project, Dong Hoi Industrial Park Project and Renewable Energy Project. For other projects, the province will ask the Government for opinions.
Immediately after the working session, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Investment Promotion and Support Center to connect with the delegation to provide necessary information and documents on the province's investment attraction mechanisms and policies for the delegation to study and refer to.
Earlier in the morning, the delegation had a field trip to Dong Hoi Port and some industrial parks in Hoang Mai town.
Dong Hoi Port has been planned with a total land area of over 1,096 hectares (of which the land planning area is 540.4 hectares; the water planning area is 556.3 hectares). Land use demand in the period of 2020 is 570 hectares (of which the land planning area is 221.9 hectares, the water planning area is 348.3 hectares).
