On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), on the morning of July 21, the provincial delegation led by Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited, encouraged and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at Nghe An Nursing Center for Severely Wounded Soldiers and Nghe An Nursing Area for Mentally Wounded Soldiers.
Joining the delegation were leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, leaders of Vinh City People's Committee.
Nghe An Nursing Center for Seriously Injured Soldiers is currently caring for 60 seriously wounded and sick soldiers from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces and 2 lonely martyrs' wives with no place to rely on. Among the wounded and sick soldiers, 33 have spinal injuries, are paralyzed in half of their body, and have amputated lower limbs and must use wheelchairs; 9 are blind in both eyes.
The Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Area is currently managing, nurturing, treating, nursing and rehabilitating 90 wounded and sick soldiers and some meritorious people and their children with mental illness according to the law, in the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
Visiting, presenting gifts, and encouraging wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and martyrs' relatives, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee warmly visited and expressed deep gratitude to the fallen heroes and martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers who contributed to national peace.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized: The war has ended, but the pain and loss still remain when millions of martyrs and compatriots have fallen, including many martyrs at the age of 19 and 20; hundreds of thousands of wounded and sick soldiers whose bodies are no longer intact, have to face daily physical and mental torment.
With the sentiment and responsibility of “When drinking water, remember its source”, “Repaying gratitude”, the Party and the State, generations born and raised after the war have continued to make efforts to build and develop the country to become increasingly rich and strong, to maintain every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland; at the same time, making efforts to improve policies, take care of families with preferential policies, and people with meritorious services to partially compensate for the losses of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu wished the wounded and sick soldiers good health, continued to nurture optimism, a resilient spirit, fight against the pain and live happily.
He also hopes that the officers and staff of the Center for Nursing Seriously Injured Soldiers and the Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Area will continue to perform their duties better with their responsibility and affection, truly being a support for seriously wounded and sick soldiers.
