Accompanying in high-tech agricultural production in Hung Nguyen
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than a year of implementing the Project of applying high technology in agricultural production, Hung Nguyen has achieved many remarkable results. However, the current problem is finding a stable output for the products.
Variety of models
With the drastic direction and support from the grassroots to remove all difficulties and obstacles, Hung Nguyen has attracted many enterprises and cooperatives to invest in high-tech agricultural models. After more than a year of implementing the project, Hung Nguyen has achieved many positive results.
Vfresh Garden High-tech Organic Agricultural Service Cooperative's hydroponic vegetable farm in Hung Linh commune is a typical example.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dat - Director of the Cooperative said: The hydroponic vegetable model has now grown 2-3 crops, including lettuce, bok choy, kale, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Production has a record book, quarantine schedule, and closely monitors the development process. The selling price of bok choy is 25-30 thousand VND/kg, kale is 50-60 thousand VND/kg...
To sell vegetables, the farm is organizing retail sales and shipping to customers in Hung Nguyen town and Vinh city.
After 3 production seasons, the number of buyers has increased. In spring and summer, hydroponic vegetables sell quite well. However, in autumn and winter, people grow more vegetables themselves, so purchasing power slows down.

With 360m2greenhouse, after 2 months, each crop of vegetables yielded 700 kg, the cooperative had a revenue of about 25 million VND, after deducting expenses, the profit was 15 million VND.
In addition to vegetables, the farm also raises catfish, harvesting two batches a year, each batch about 1 ton of fish, bringing in an income of about 400 million VND, minus expenses, the remaining 150 million VND. During the production process, the cooperative has applied technology to control the amount of irrigation water, fertilizer... via smartphones. In the near future, for higher efficiency, Vfresh Garden High-Tech Organic Agricultural Service Cooperative will expand tomato, melon, cucumber...
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Director of Phu Thinh Agricultural and Service Cooperative in Hung Thanh commune said: after harvesting strawberries, he earned about 60 million VND. He continues to grow grapes, melons, purple corn... The products are scarce so there is not enough to sell to supermarkets, the cooperative is mainly selling retail.
Ms. Ba Thi Dung - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Hung Nguyen district said: The district has built 3 net houses and greenhouses in the Hung Linh, Hung Thanh and Hung Thong areas, combined with investment in drip irrigation technology to produce high-quality vegetables and fruits such as: melons, strawberries, baby cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage... to meet the needs of the district.
Some communes have built vegetable production areas, invested in infrastructure such as electricity, irrigation well systems, automatic sprinkler and drip irrigation systems. These are vegetable areas in Hung Thanh, Long Xa, Hung Tan communes with an area of nearly 10 hectares. At the same time, farmers here are transferred scientific and technical advances in safe vegetable production, vegetable production in the direction of VietGAP.

Hung Nguyen also has the first Israeli high-tech agricultural model on alluvial land and in Hung Nguyen district, which is Phu Thinh Agricultural and Service Net House in Hung Thanh commune. After 4 years of production, the main crops are melons, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers... bringing high economic efficiency, with an average income of 180-220 million VND/ha/year. In addition to its economic value, recently, many families and schools have chosen this high-tech agricultural model as a destination for sightseeing and experience.
In addition, Hung Nguyen currently has models of linking Atlantic potato production with product consumption of Tien Thang High-tech Agricultural and Livestock Service Cooperative deployed from the winter crop of 2021 in Xuan Lam commune with an area of 10 hectares. Or the vegetable production area of Con Go in Hung Tan commune with an area of 2 hectares, applying sprinkler irrigation technology for vegetables, bringing in an income of 120-150 million VND per crop.
Multiple support mechanisms
To encourage the application of high technology in agricultural production, Hung Nguyen has a mechanism to support 30% of the value of net houses, membrane houses, misting irrigation systems, drip irrigation, seepage irrigation, refrigeration systems, product preservation cooling; support 50% of the construction of traffic, irrigation, and electricity systems; support 50% of the cost of seeds and materials. In addition, the province has a policy to support 50,000 VND/m2Net houses and membrane houses for vegetable and fruit production according to Resolution No. 18/2021/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council.
The representative of Hung Nguyen district said: Up to now, the total funding to support the application of high technology in agricultural production for the items is 1,754 billion VND, of which the district supports 1,350 billion VND, the province supports 404 million VND.
Of which, Phu Thinh Agricultural and Service Cooperative in Hung Thanh commune was supported with 250 million VND, the greenhouse of Xu Nghe Farm Company Limited in Hung Thong commune was supported with 300 million VND; the irrigation system of Thanh Vinh Clean Agricultural Products Production, Supply and Consumption Cooperative Branch in Long Xa commune: 200 million VND; The irrigation system of Hung Tan Agricultural and Environmental Service Cooperative: 200 million VND... The support costs focus on greenhouses, net houses, in addition to costs to support livestock models, costs to establish cooperatives...
A high-tech agricultural farm owner said: Due to the large investment, close monitoring and full recording, the cost of agricultural products and vegetables in greenhouses and greenhouses is about 50% higher than the market, sometimes higher. The trial production combined with the limited quantity to monitor the market, so we do not dare to boldly produce a lot for fear of unsold products.
As for Hung Linh Hydroponic Vegetable Cooperative, Mr. Nguyen Van Dat - Director said that hydroponic vegetable products are not really effective, sometimes there are still backlogs. By May and June this year, the Cooperative plans to supply vegetables to schools in Vinh to be more stable. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Son in Hung Thanh affirmed that he will focus on selling through online channels because this is a very effective channel.
In order to upgrade output and product quality, the cooperative hopes to receive support from authorities at all levels for production machines such as: fertilizer machines, generators, multi-function tillers...

Schools have a demand for tubers and fruits such as squash, pumpkin... but these products are not produced in greenhouses. Supermarkets require stable quantities while our products are not many and are seasonal. We see that products such as potatoes, lettuce, cucumbers... have a market, so production facilities also need to research to have diverse products, meet market demand and move towards stable output./.
