(Baonghean.vn) - This is the information given by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An at the online meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee with the Standing Committees of districts, cities, town Party Committees, and affiliated Party Committees on the implementation of tasks in the second quarter and the deployment of key tasks in 2019 held on the morning of October 16.

According to the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An, the amount of rain measured in 1 hour, from 8-9am on October 16, was 80mm, a record for the year.

Meanwhile, the average annual rainfall is 2,000mm. The rainfall in the past two days in Vinh City has been over 500mm.

Along with Vinh City, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong districts also witnessed heavy rainfall, while other localities had normal rainfall. "We have noted that pumping stations operate 24/7," said Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu.

The amount of rain in the past 3 hours (from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on October 16) in Vinh was 168mm, Hung Nguyen 78mm, Cho Trang 59mm ...

Warning: In the next 1-3 hours, in the provinces of Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain with common rainfall from 30-60mm, in some places over 90mm.

In the next 3-6 hours, flash floods, landslides and localized flooding are at risk in Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces.

In Nghe An, there is a high risk of flash floods, landslides and localized flooding in the districts of Hung Nguyen, Vinh City and Thanh Chuong.
