Supervising medical examination and treatment at Vinh International Hospital

On the afternoon of July 31, the monitoring delegation of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation had a working session with Vinh International Hospital on the results of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 18/2008/QH12 dated June 3, 2008 (Resolution No. 18) of the 12th National Assembly on promoting the implementation of socialized policies and laws to improve the quality of health care for the people.

Responding to the monitoring delegation, Vinh International Hospital said: In the process of implementing legal policies on socialization of medical examination and treatment, such as: Some documents regulating the implementation of health insurance policies and laws are unclear and inconsistent between the Ministry of Health and Social Insurance.

In addition, some documents of the Ministry of Health instruct one province, but are not made public to other provinces but are still applied. The current allocation of funds for medical examination and treatment is inappropriate, causing difficulties in improving the quality of technical service development and hospital development orientation.

Vinh International Hospital recommends that the Ministry of Health and Vietnam Social Security should have specific and clear instructions for cases of difficulties of medical examination and treatment facilities; not to transfer medical examination and treatment funds as is currently the case.

At the meeting, members of the monitoring delegation discussed policies to attract human resources; difficulties of the unit in the process of implementing investment in the province; payment of health insurance cards; standards of medical examination and treatment of doctors; assessment of satisfaction of patients and staff; reproductive health care services; investment strategies for facilities and human resources of the hospital to improve the hospital's level;...

Acknowledging the results in medical examination and treatment of Vinh International Hospital, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation hopes that the hospital will continue to effectively promote the invested infrastructure system; human resource training policy; innovate medical examination and treatment procedures; customer care,... to develop the hospital's brand to meet the people's medical examination and treatment needs.

Regarding the recommendations of Vinh International Hospital regarding the shortcomings and difficulties in implementing the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment; the Law on Health Insurance and sub-law documents, the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies received, synthesized and forwarded to relevant ministries, departments and branches.
