Hundreds of Tet gifts were sent to people in Quy Chau, Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 21, with sharing and empathy, hundreds of gifts were delivered by many units and organizations to the poor and students in difficult circumstances in the two districts of Que Phong and Quy Chau.

On January 21, 4 youth unions: Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management, Department of Fisheries, Plant Breeding Center (Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) and Youth Union of Food Safety and Hygiene Department (Nghe An Department of Health) organized to give Tet gifts to the poor in Que Phong and Quy Chau.

302 gifts were given by the delegation to poor households in Nam Giai commune (Que Phong district) and Chau Hanh commune, Tan Lac town (Quy Chau district), each district received 151 gifts.
In addition, 2 gifts (including 2 million VND in cash and candy) were given to 2 families with especially difficult circumstances in Nam Giai and Chau Hanh communes. The total value of the gifts this time is 40 million VND, from the contribution of the youth union members of 4 branches.

In recent times, the four above-mentioned youth unions have regularly carried out many volunteer activities such as cooking porridge for poor patients in hospitals, contributing to helping children go to school, providing warm clothes in winter... On average, each quarter, the four youth unions organize a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of Nghe An youth towards the community.

Also this morning, in Chau Nga commune (Quy Chau), the Youth Union of Son Hai commune (Quynh Luu) and Yen Thai Pagoda came to give 100 gifts (each gift includes instant noodles, cakes, cooking oil... and 100,000 VND in cash) to 100 poor households. The total value of the gifts is over 30 million VND. On this occasion, the delegation also gave nearly 3 million VND in cash to two orphaned sisters in Nga My village, Chau Nga (Quy Chau).

On the same day, Thien Tam Club of Hoang Mai town gave poor people in 3 villages of Hanh Dich commune (Que Phong), namely Khom village, Mut village and Cham Put village, 720 packages of instant noodles, 72 bottles of fish sauce and nearly 1,000 new and old clothes.

Newly formed with 17 members, Thien Tam Club regularly joins hands to share difficulties with poor villages in the highlands of Nghe An.
