Nghe An students win silver medal at International Math Olympiad
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (July 20), Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted announced good news when student Vu Duc Vinh, class 11A1, K46, won the Silver medal at the 60th International Math Olympiad.
From the UK, this morning, teacher Ho Sy Hung, Math teacher at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, said: Student Vu Duc Vinh, along with 5 other members of the Vietnamese delegation, all won medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad. Vu Duc Vinh alone won a Silver medal.

This is a very commendable achievement because among the 6 members of the team, Vinh is the only student currently in grade 11. Vinh is also the only grade 11 student ever from Nghe An to participate in an International Mathematical Olympiad.
Previously, Vu Duc Vinh was a student at Nguyen Trai Secondary School, Tan Ky. After being admitted to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Vinh won a Gold Medal in the HOMC - Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition, and a Gold Medal in the Math Olympiad organized by the Institute of Mathematics. In grade 11, Vinh won second prize in Mathematics at the National Excellent Student Competition.
Teacher Ho Sy Hung said: Vu Duc Vinh is an all-round good student, excellent in Math. He is very sociable and has a spirit of team building.
