Nghe An Red Cross Society coordinates to give Tet gifts to the poor and Agent Orange victims
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the Tet care movement for the poor in the Spring of the Pig, on January 19, Nghe An Red Cross Society coordinated with Long Bien District Red Cross Society, Hanoi City to visit and give Tet gifts to the poor and Agent Orange victims in Hoang Mai and Que Phong towns.

On the morning of January 19, the delegation went to Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town to present 20 gifts including cash and some necessities.
Then, in the afternoon, the delegation went to Nam Giai commune, a remote commune in Que Phong district, to present 231 gifts to students and poor households. Here, the delegation also presented 30 million VND in support to the family of Ha Van Tho (Cha Lau village) to rebuild their house.
In total, the number of gifts this time is 251, with a total value of over 160 million VND.

Previously, on January 18, the Provincial Red Cross Society and philanthropists went to Tho Son commune, Anh Son district to present Tet gifts worth 180 million VND; including 100 gifts (each worth 300,000 VND in cash and 10 kg of rice) to poor households and 73 warm blankets for people with disabilities and orphans; 20 scholarships (each worth 300,000 VND and 1 warm blanket) to poor but excellent students; 501 sets of school uniforms and fresh milk, along with 1 wheelchair for disabled children in Tao Son commune.
