(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 2, a delegation of the Vietnam Red Cross Society visited, encouraged and gave gifts to support families affected by floods in Thanh Chuong district.

The delegation included Ms. Bui Thi Hoa - President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with representatives of the provincial Red Cross Society, Thanh Chuong district, and sponsoring units...

The delegation visited and encouraged Mr. Dinh Ngu's family in Tan Phong hamlet, Thanh Khai commune and through local representatives visited Mr. Luong Van Lam's family in Mai Dinh hamlet, Thanh Mai commune - two families whose houses were destroyed by storms. The delegation supported each family with 5 million VND.

At the destinations, members of the working delegation shared and encouraged families to try to overcome difficulties, overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters, and soon stabilize their lives.

Next, the delegation presented 60 million VND in support to 60 households whose property was damaged by storms and 100 boxes of household items to 100 households in the deeply flooded areas of Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district.

It is known that on this occasion, the Vietnam Red Cross Society supported more than 300 million VND for flood victims in the districts of Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau and Quynh Luu; Thanh Chuong district alone received nearly 200 million VND in support.

The delegation also presented a symbolic plaque supporting 1,000 water purifiers supported by INTRACO Investment and Trading Consulting Company Limited to the districts of Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Hoang Mai and Yen Thanh.
