Vietnam Journalists Association and press of Central Highlands provinces support people affected by floods in Nghe An

At the meeting on the evening of October 5, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee congratulated the Organizing Committee and delegates attending the conference on completing the topics on the first day. On this occasion, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented the Vietnam Journalists Association with a picture of Uncle Ho's hometown.

During the conference, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the press in the Central Highlands region donated 50 million VND to support Nghe An people affected by the recent floods, transferred through the Nghe An Journalists Association to people in the damaged areas.

During two days (October 5 and 6, 2023), in Vinh City, the Vietnam Journalists Association organized 4 specialized conferences, including: Conference to summarize 17 years of the National Press Awards and summarize the work of supporting high-quality journalism in 2022; deploy the Program to support high-quality journalism in 2023 and 2024; Conference to summarize 01 year of the emulation movement to build a cultural environment in press agencies and guide the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association; summarize the work of managing members who are reporters of press agencies residing in localities; Conference "Press with the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the context of digital transformation"; The conference summarized 6 years of implementing the 2016 Press Law in conjunction with 10 regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists, Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists, with the participation of the Journalists Association of 19 provinces in the Central - Central Highlands region.
