Hung Nguyen has H5N1 bird flu outbreak
(Baonghean.vn) - In block 2, Hung Nguyen town, an outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza has just appeared in a flock of more than 2,000 ducks. Currently, Hung Nguyen district is focusing on zoning and stamping out the epidemic, preventing it from spreading widely.
The outbreak was recorded in the duck flock of Mr. Tran Van Duong's household, block 2, Hung Nguyen town. The flock has a total of 2,000 ducks, including 600 laying ducks and 1,400 40-day-old meat ducks raised in the field.

On November 18, the ducks showed symptoms of staggering, not eating, green-white droppings, bleeding in both legs, paralysis, and then dying en masse. Mr. Duong’s family reported it to the local authorities and relevant agencies.
Immediately after receiving the report from Mr. Duong's household, the District Agricultural Service Center sent technical staff to collect samples and send them to the Veterinary Department of Region 3 for testing. On the morning of November 22, immediately after the test results of Mr. Duong's duck flock were positive for the virus,avian influenza H5N1.
The Veterinary Department of Region 3, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of Nghe An province, the Department of Agriculture, the District Agricultural Service Center, and the Hung Nguyen town government went to Mr. Tran Cong Duong's farm to check the situation, conduct an epidemiological investigation, and destroy Mr. Duong's duck flock according to regulations.

The agencies simultaneously and promptly deployed measures to disinfect and clean the barns of Mr. Duong's household and other livestock households in Hung Nguyen town and neighboring areas, and provided vaccines to vaccinate poultry flocks of livestock households in block 2, Hung Nguyen town to prevent epidemics and limit widespread spread./.
