Man holds knife to woman's neck, robs her in broad daylight
(Baonghean.vn) - After robbing Ms. N.'s gold bracelet, Tran Van Huu ran back to Thanh Chuong and sold it for more than 7 million VND. Only 2 days after committing the crime, the daring robber was arrested by the police.

On August 3, Vinh City Police are temporarily detaining Tran Van Huu (born 1978), residing in Hamlet 3A, Thanh Phong Commune, Thanh Chuong District, to clarify the act of "Robbery".
According to the report of Ms. D.THN (born in 1995, residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city), at around 9:00 a.m. on July 29, while waiting for a motorbike taxi in the Festival Palace area, a man gave her a ride.
Arriving at Vinh Tan Lake (about 500m from Ms. N.'s boarding house), this man stopped the car, used a knife to threaten Ms. N.'s neck and demanded sex. When the victim fiercely resisted, this subject robbed Ms. N. of a gold bracelet and 1.4 million VND before speeding away.
Everything happened in a short time, and she was so scared that Ms. N. could not remember the robber's identification or the license plate number of the motorbike he was riding.
Using professional measures based on zoning and screening subjects, at 2:00 a.m. on July 31, Vinh City Police arrested Tran Van Huu while he was hiding in Thanh Phong commune.
At the investigation agency, Tran Van Huu initially admitted his crime. Huu sold the victim's gold bracelet to a gold shop in Thanh Chuong for more than 7 million VND.
Currently, Vinh City Police are requesting property valuation to complete the file and handle the subject according to the law.
It is known that Tran Van Huu has a previous conviction for "Fraudulent appropriation of property", has no stable job, and is currently sick and must have regular check-ups and medication.
