Hang Bua Festival is a long-standing spring cultural activity of the people in the ancient Muong of the Thai people called Chieng Ngam, now in Chau Tien, Quy Chau district.

The festival site is a 2-hectare land area at the foot of Pha En Mountain, part of the Northern Truong Son Range. The main highlight is Bua Cave - a stone cave at the foot of the mountain, which is also the name of the festival. This scenic spot has been on the list of national cultural and historical relics of Vietnam since 1997.
The cave is said to be a testament to the love affairs of the Khun Tinh, a heroic character in the folk epic of the indigenous Thai people. There are countless stalactites hanging down and towering stone pillars like a unique architectural work built by the hands of nature.

The festival is also a gathering place for folk games such as tug of war, stick pushing, throwing, crossbow shooting, sports competitions, culinary competitions, incense rolling, Thai Lai Tay writing, beauty contests... The festival will end on the afternoon of February 26, 2019.
