(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of preparation, Anh Son Pagoda - an important project in the Cua Luy Temple Historical Cultural Relic Project, Anh Son District, has officially started construction.

On the morning of April 20 (March 16, Ky Hoi year), the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province coordinated with Anh Son district to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Anh Son pagoda.

Anh Son Pagoda was built in the Historical and Cultural Relic Area of ​​Cua Luy Temple, Hamlet 9, Hoa Son Commune.

Attending the ceremony, on the government side were comrades Vu Chien Thang - Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments and branches, leaders of Anh Son district, and representatives of neighboring districts.

On the side of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, there were: Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Permanent Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council of Nghe An province, Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien - General Secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council, Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Head of the Central Cultural Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Permanent Deputy Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council of Nghe An province, representatives of pagodas and meditation monasteries in the provinces.

With the approval of the Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of a affiliated religious facility, on March 18, 2019, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 25/QD - BTS to establish Anh Son Pagoda in Hoa Son commune, Anh Son district.

Anh Son Pagoda is one of the important items in the Cua Luy Temple Historical and Cultural Relic Site associated with tourism development in Anh Son district.

Handing over the decision to establish Anh Son pagoda to Venerable Thich Tue Quang - in charge of Buddhism in Anh Son district.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee announced the decision to establish the pagoda, presented the decision and seal to the representative of Anh Son Pagoda. The delegates and Buddhist monks and nuns attending the ceremony performed incense offering rituals, worshiping the Three Jewels, praying, chanting and conducting the groundbreaking ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the construction of Anh Son Pagoda.

According to the design, Anh Son Pagoda has over 10 items, of which the first two items to be built are the three-door gate and the 2-storey main hall with a floor area of ​​over 700 m2.2.The main hall is designed in the style of an 8-roof matchbox, with a wooden frame. It is expected that these two items will be completed in about 1 year with socialized funding. The remaining items will be built in the following period.

Delegates broke ground and laid the foundation stone for Anh Son Pagoda.

The construction of Anh Son Pagoda has fulfilled the wishes and expectations of many Buddhists in the district. The pagoda's name was given according to the regulations of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province.

The pagoda, once completed, will become a place of worship and cultural and spiritual activities for Buddhists inside and outside Anh Son district, while also being linked to tourism activities in the Cua Luy Temple Historical and Cultural Relic Complex.
