Tightly control side roads leading to Vinh city

As soon as the city implemented social distancing according to Directive 16, the Hung Loc commune government coordinated with the city's functional forces to set up an entry and exit control post on Le Viet Thuat Street, borderingHung Loc communewith Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district.

Although this checkpoint has controlled a large number of people entering and leaving the city through the commune, in reality there are still a number of other inter-commune paths and routes that people from other regions can use to enter Vinh city.

For example, the road connecting Nghi Thai and Hung Loc communes, although only about 3 meters wide and located in the middle of a field, has hundreds of people passing by every day, mainly residents of the two neighboring communes and workers going to work at factories. Therefore, the Hung Loc commune authorities decided to set up an additional checkpoint at the Bo bridge area, the boundary point between the two communes tocontrol of people and vehiclesback and forth

Mr. Cao Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of Hung Loc Commune People's Committee said: "The force on duty at this checkpoint includes the Commune Police, militia and youth union members. Only in urgent cases with legitimate reasons are people allowed to pass through this checkpoint. After setting up the checkpoint, the number of people and vehicles has decreased significantly, so it is easier to control...".

In Nghi Lien commune - one of the major gateways in the North of Vinh city, in addition to the large checkpoint set up by the city at National Highway 1A intersecting with the road to Nghe An Lung Hospital, the commune also set up 5 additional checkpoints to control people entering and exiting around the area.

5 sub-checkpoints include: The border point between Hong Lien hamlet and Nghi Van commune (Nghi Loc), the border point between Bac Lien hamlet and Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc), the border point between Luong Luong hamlet and Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc), the border point between Nghi Lien commune and Kim Chi hamlet (Nghi An) and the point at the welcome gate to the center of Nghi Lien commune.

Mr. Tran Duc Dung - Vice Chairman of Nghi Lien Commune People's Committee said: The main force on duty at these sub-posts is the Commune Police and the Commune Military Command. In addition, all cadres and civil servants of the commune are assigned to be on duty at the posts to thoroughly control people entering and leaving the area. Due to the characteristics of the commune having a large area and many small paths, the brothers on duty at the posts must divide themselves scientifically to complete the task.

Not only in Hung Loc, Nghi Lien but also in other localities in Vinh City such as Hung Hoa, Vinh Tan, Hung Chinh, Hung Dong... there are many small roads and paths to get into Vinh City. CurrentlyVinh City People's Committeehas directed wards and communes to mobilize all forces to set up secondary checkpoints to control people and vehicles entering and leaving the city, in addition to the 13 main checkpoints the city set up at 0:00 on June 19.
