In Hung Nguyen district, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the delegation inspected the progress of spring rice planting in Hung Phuc commune.

This is a commune with a tradition of producing long-term rice varieties. However, in recent years, thanks to good leadership and propaganda work, people have introduced high-quality pure rice varieties with short growing periods into production.

Mr. Ho Van De - Chairman of Hung Phuc Commune People's Committee said: In the 2019 spring crop, the commune planted 240 hectares of rice, including 40 hectares of model fields producing one variety of rice... After the happy Tet holidays, people are focusing on planting spring rice in the fields; pumping stations are actively operating to serve irrigation, so the water source is guaranteed to close the area.

"In the 2019 spring crop, the entire Hung Nguyen district produced 5,200 hectares of rice. Up to this point, 95% of the area has been planted, and it is expected that in the next few days, the entire area will be closed," added Mr. Hoang Duc An - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hung Nguyen district.

Next, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of the lotus growing model in Kim Lien commune (Nam Dan) with an area of ​​8 hectares, supported by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance... At the same time, Nam Dan has now closed the entire spring rice area.

In Thanh Chuong district, comrade Dinh Viet Hong inspected the vegetable growing model in Thanh Linh commune. Currently, people are growing high-income vegetables and beans... The spring rice area has basically completed sowing and planting.

In the 2019 spring crop, Thanh Chuong district planted more than 8,000 hectares of rice, of which corn was more than 2,000 hectares, peanuts were more than 1,000 hectares, and various vegetables were 650 hectares.

On the same day, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the pumpkin growing model in Trung Son commune, Do Luong district. With 6 hectares of pumpkin growing, this model has been linked with businesses and stores to solve the problem of output for agricultural products...

Through checking the progress of spring crop production, comrade Dinh Viet Hong acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of farmers and the agricultural sector in implementing the agricultural calendar. At the same time, he requested the agricultural sector and localities to direct units to provide enough water for farmers to take care of spring rice.
