Unsafe when suspension bridge railings are continuously stolen

(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, many households living in Ke Ninh, Dinh Tien, Ta Co, Pa Co villages, Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau) reported that many suspension bridge railings were stolen, causing danger to people when crossing the bridge.

Ke Ninh People's Suspension Bridge was officially put into use in 2016, with a load capacity of 2.5 tons, a length of 219.19 m, and a width of 2.4 m. The bridge was built as the dream and aspiration of more than 2,000 people in 4 villages of Ke Ninh, Dinh Tien, Ta Co and Pa Co - the most disadvantaged villages of Chau Hanh commune. The bridge has created favorable conditions for smooth traffic, especially during the rainy season, contributing to improving all aspects of people's lives.

However, recently, many parts of the bridge railing have been stolen, creating large holes that make people worried every time they pass by.

Mr. Vi Van Mau, head of Ta Co village, said: Ke Ninh bridge is under the management of Ta Co village, put into use in 2016, everyone is happy because they don't have to take the boat anymore, however, recently there has been a phenomenon of the iron bars of the bridge railing being stolen, although the village management board regularly checks and gives reminders and propaganda at every village meeting, this phenomenon has not stopped.

It is known that up to now, 15 iron bars of the bridge railing have been lost, creating many holes on the bridge wall, which greatly affects the safety of people when traveling. In this reality, local people hope that the relevant authorities and agencies will investigate and clarify and soon replace the stolen iron bars so that people can travel safely.
