Heavy rain causes flooding in some mountainous districts in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of cold air, from the night of October 23 to the morning of October 24, in Anh Son, Con Cuong (Nghe An), there was heavy rain, some places had very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The heavy rain caused the water level to rise, many areas were partially flooded.

In Anh Son district, continuous heavy rain on the night of October 23 and morning of October 24 caused local flooding in some localities in the district such as Tho Son and Thanh Son communes.
In Tho Son commune, many roads and two overflow bridges, the overflow bridge to village 9 and the bridge to village 1, were flooded, making it difficult for people to travel. In particular, the Tho Son commune kindergarten was deeply flooded, and students could not go to school.

In Thanh Son commune, on Provincial Road 534B at Km32+150 Khe San bridge, the water level rose nearly 1 meter. This is the road where people from Thanh Son, Tho Son, and Binh Son communes trade and travel every day.
Currently, Anh Son district is directing localities to propagate that people absolutely must not travel until the water recedes, assign people to guard 24/7 at both ends of the bridges, strictly prohibiting people and vehicles from passing.

In Thach Ngan commune, the spillways are flooded. This morning, nearly 1,300 students at three levels in the commune had to stay home from school while waiting for the water to recede. There are currently no statistics on human and property damage, nor crop damage.
