Young man tragically drowned in Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 2, at Mu Ba sluice on Dao River in Dong Son commune, Do Luong district, a tragic drowning incident occurred.
At that time, young man Nguyen Thanh Vinh (born 2003), residing in Hamlet 1, Lac Son Commune, Do Luong District, and a group of friends went swimming in Dao River. The bathing area was right at the foot of Mu Ba culvert.
Even though I can't swim and I don't wear any clotheslife jacket, but because he wanted to bathe like the others, Vinh went into the water. Unfortunately, Vinh fell into the whirlpool and was drowned and swept away.

When Vinh and his friends went swimming, the power grid was out. It was hot, so there were quite a few people swimming here.
Immediately after the drowning incident, rescuers searched for the victim’s body. As of 5:50 p.m. the same day, the young man’s body had not been found.
Mu Ba sluice is the place to regulate agricultural irrigation and domestic water from Lam River for 3 districts: Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu. Mu Ba sluice is the place where drowning incidents often occur in the summer, although there are signs warning of dangerous deep water; the Youth Union also regularly propagates about drowning accidents and how to prevent them.
