11 featured results
According to Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh, 2020 is a year with many difficulties and challenges, especially the outbreak of the pandemic.Covid-19has had a strong, comprehensive and profound impact on all aspects of the economy and society; but thanks to the determination and great efforts of the entire political system, the people and the business community, the province's socio-economy in 2020 still achieved 11 outstanding results and 20/28 main socio-economic targets met and exceeded the plan.
The greatest success of Nghe An is that despite its large area, large population, long border, border gates, many trails and openings, and large number of exported and freelance workers abroad; but with many solutions, the whole province has done a good job of effectively preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

SpeedgrowthThe total product in the province is estimated to reach 4.45%; of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery is estimated to increase by 4.99%; industry - construction is estimated to increase by 7.92%; services are estimated to increase by 2.22%; product tax increases by 1.07%.
State budget revenue in 2020 is estimated at 15,992 billion VND, reaching 105.1% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and 102.8% of the adjusted estimate.
Construction programnew ruralachieved many important results; it is expected that 281/411 communes will meet new rural standards, an increase of 36 communes compared to 2019; 6 district-level units will complete the task of building and meeting new rural standards.

Total social investment capital is estimated at 78,847 billion VND, an increase of 12.3% compared to 2019. The disbursement rate of public investment capital is quite good (as of November 30, 2020, the disbursement rate of public investment capital in the whole province reached 73.41% of the plan assigned by the province and reached 73.05% of the detailed plan).
During the year, the province granted 75 new projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 7,798 billion; adjusted 92 projects, of which the total investment capital was adjusted for 26 projects. Regarding enterprises, the whole province newly established 1,716 enterprises, an increase of 4.4% over the same period; the number of enterprises resuming operations was 568, an increase of 0.9% over the same period in 2019...

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention and direction and have made much progress. National defense and security continue to be firmly consolidated, social order and safety are ensured. Inspection, citizen reception, and settlement of petitions and complaints from the people have been well implemented; to date, sectors and levels have resolved 314/343 cases, reaching a rate of 91.5%.
7 existence, limitation
In addition to the achieved results, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh also reported on the shortcomings and limitations. That is, the growth rate is lower than the same period and the set plan. Production and business activities of enterprises face many difficulties, especially in industrial production, trade, tourism services, transportation, restaurants, hotels, etc.
Some state budget revenues have not met the assigned estimated progress; tax debts remain high. Compensation and site clearance work still faces many obstacles, especially for key infrastructure projects.
The work of reorganizing the apparatus in some units is still behind schedule. The problem of arranging surplus commune-level cadres and civil servants is still facing difficulties. The work of administrative reform in some agencies and units has not met the requirements.

11 groups of tasks and solutions for 2021
Regarding the socio-economic development plan for 2021, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh stated a number of key targets, such as the growth rate of the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) reaching 7.5% - 8.5%; budget revenue of 14,032.3 billion VND; total investment for social development of 88,000 billion VND; GRDP per capita of 48-49 million VND; 20 more communes meeting new rural standards...
To achieve the above targets, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized 11 groups of issues. In particular, the focus is on directing the implementation of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period; directing the organization of elections of People's Councils at all levels, elections of the 15th National Assembly, term 2021-2026; developing and implementing drastically, synchronously and effectively action programs, work plans and tasks and solutions set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress after being approved; implementing reviews to develop mechanisms and policies for the 2021-2025 period.
