In 2023, in Nghe An province, the districts of Ky Son, Con Cuong, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa town, and Dien Chau will organize defense area drills; Nghi Loc district will organize flood and storm prevention drills.

At the conference, delegates heardProvincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committeethoroughly grasp the Provincial People's Committee's Directive on the implementation of training and exercise tasks in 2023; Decision to establish the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee. Unify the exercise contents of the mechanism operation, field exercises, locations of training and official exercise time points. The Provincial Exercise Steering Committee also directly inspected the construction quality of items at the Exercise Command Center; field exercise areas in localities.

After listening to agencies and units report on the progress of preparations for the 2023 Defense Zone exercise, conference delegates discussed and agreed on a number of contents in directing and preparing for the provincial defense zone exercise.

At the working session, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the exercise, highly appreciated the preparations for the 2023 Defense Zone exercise of localities and agencies.

He requested to do better in coordinating with local departments, branches and sectors in surveying and agreeing on plans to adjust, supplement and complete the construction of items in the Exercise Command Center at all levels. Regularly follow the agencies of the Military Region. The Provincial Military Command prepares documents; trains, guides and approves the contents and scenarios of the exercise. Synthesizes and estimates the facilities, forces and technical means participating in the exercise. Surveys and determines the locations for the actual exercise and conducts practice of the actual exercise contents close to the actual situation of the unit, builds a system of trenches, fortifications, battlefields, prepares well the weapons, technical equipment, materials, and training models to serve the exercise tasks. Strengthens propaganda work on the purpose and significance of the exercise. Regularly report to the Provincial Military Command to have plans to direct and establish inspection teams to inspect the quality of preparations and readiness for the 2023 Defense Zone exercise in localities to take place on schedule, achieving the set goals and requirements./.
