(Baonghean.vn) - Lacking parental care since childhood, little boy Xong Ba Hua in Muong Long commune, Ky Son border district, was taken in by his uncle, then came to SOS Children's Village (Vinh City). Overcoming his fate, Hua passed the entrance exam to Hanoi Medical University.

Lack of parental care

Born in Muong Long 1 village, communeMuong LongKy Son district, Xong Ba Hua (born in 2002) and his younger sister lived peacefully under a small roof in a remote border commune of Nghe An. Not long after, when they started primary school, a major incident happened to Xong Ba Hua's family, leaving the two brothers Hua helpless. At that time, Hua and his younger sister were too young to understand what happened. They only knew that, after an incident, Hua's mother died and his father went to prison.

Talking about Hua's special circumstances, Vice Chairman of Muong Long Commune People's Committee Vu Ba Xu said that without parents to take care of them, Hua and his brother were taken care of by their uncle. Hua's uncle and his wife were also old, their life depended on farming, so they were very poor and could not afford to support Hua and his children.studyto the end, although Hua was very intelligent and eager to learn.

Seeing Xong Ba Hua's situation and his dream of studying, the Muong Long commune government and his brothers and relatives encouraged and sent the two Hua brothers to live and study at the SOS Children's Village in Vinh City in 2012.

Make a miracle

At SOS Children's Village Vinh, he received love and help from teachers and mothers, especially mother Tran Thi Binh. After finishing grade 9 here, Xong Ba Hua moved to the Youth Dormitory to study. Hua confided that besides his passion for football, he really loves the medical profession and is determined to strive to become a doctor.

In the 2021 university entrance exam, Xong Ba Hua scored 8.25 points in Chemistry, 8.4 points in Math and 8 points in Biology. With 2.25 priority points, Hua's total admission score was 26.9 points, passing the entrance exam to Hanoi Medical University. In addition, Xong Ba Hua also passed the entrance exam to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. According to teachers at SOS Children's Village Vinh, the fact that the Mong orphan boy passed the entrance exam to a prestigious university is truly amiraclewhich has not been available in this Children's Village for more than 30 years.

Relatives pooled money to buy a computer

On the afternoon of September 28, Xong Ba Hua said that he had just returned from his hometown of Muong Long to Vinh city, back to SOS Children's Village Vinh to prepare for the day of going to Hanoi to enroll in school. After receiving the admission results, the school instructed Hua to complete the admission procedures online; at the same time, received study materials, and prepared for official online learning in the coming October. While still in Muong Long, Hua had to complete all admission procedures and prepare for online learning on his old phone. Speaking more about this, Vice Chairman of Muong Long Commune People's Committee Vu Ba Xu said that in Muong Long, the internet signal is unstable, and not every family can afford to subscribe to the internet, including Hua's uncle's family. Therefore, Hua had to "borrow" the signal from other households, or from the commune committee to take advantage of online learning.

Continuing the tradition of studying of the Xong family in Muong Long land, Xong Ba Hua has become the pride of his relatives and brothers. Hua is the second person of the Xong family to pass the University of Medicine, after Xong Ba Dia - currently a doctor working at Nghe An General Hospital. To encourage Xong Ba Hua on his path of studying, although none of Hua's relatives are rich or well-off, each person contributed a little to buy Hua a laptop to support his studies.

Xong Ba Hua said he was very touched by the love and care of his relatives, the local authorities of Muong Long and the teachers at SOS Children's Village Vinh. Everyone's support will be a source of encouragement for Hua both materially and spiritually in his future years of study. "Uncle Xong Ba Dia also called to congratulate and encourage me. The teachers at Hermann Gmeiner Vinh School, the head teacher Pham Ngoc Huong as well as the Director of SOS Children's Village Vinh also gave me gifts, and the teachers and the school will continue to support part of my tuition fees. In addition, they will contact me to rent a room in Hanoi to help me study later. I will try harder in my studies to not disappoint the expectations of everyone who loves me" - Xong Ba Hua confided.

The next stage of Xong Ba Hua's studies is still very difficult, arduous and challenging, but with the love and support of his hometown and teachers, along with the determination of the Mong boy Xong Ba Hua, I believe he will firmly walk on the path he has chosen./.
