Nghe An: Newborn baby girl found abandoned in front of temple gate
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 15, Venerable Thich Tue Minh, Abbot of Chi Linh Pagoda (Yen Thanh) said that the pagoda had just discovered a baby girl about 1 week old wrapped in a blanket and placed in front of the pagoda gate.

Accordingly, at around 6:30 p.m. on December 14, a couple rode a motorbike to Chi Linh Pagoda and then left a baby girl about a week old, weighing 3kg, in front of the pagoda gate. Hearing the baby crying, the pagoda security guard went to the gate to search and discovered the baby girl wrapped in a blanket, next to a bag of diapers and milk.
Immediately after discovering the baby, the temple security guard immediately informed Venerable Thich Tue Minh, took the baby into the temple to keep him warm, then immediately transferred him to Yen Thanh District General Hospital for care, and at the same time notified the local authorities.
Upon receiving the news, Xuan Thanh Commune Police (Yen Thanh) arrived at Chi Linh Pagoda to investigate the incident. Xuan Thanh Commune People's Committee also announced the incident on local loudspeakers.
"According to regulations, if within 1 month no relatives come to adopt the child, we will organize the adoption procedures in accordance with the law" - said a representative of the People's Committee of Xuan Thanh commune.
