Nghe An organizes contest to promote energy saving in schools

Participating in each contest are 3 teams including Lightning, Blue Wave and Light, which are students representing Dien Cat Primary School. Contestants participating in the contest go through 3 rounds: greeting, multiple choice and talent round.

The students have prepared costumes and props to perform the greeting and talent contests, making them more convincing and attractive. Many teams have invested their efforts, intelligence and practice time to prepare their performances meticulously and thoughtfully.

Coming to the contest, students have chosen rich and diverse content with the aim of propagating to help students in particular and the community in general join hands to save and use energy effectively, know how to protect natural resources, and protect our living environment.

The contest to propagate the use of energy economically and effectively in schools is a form of conveying to students some basic solutions on the use of energy economically and effectively and the Law on the Use of Energy Economically and Effectively through multiple choice questions and vivid visual skits researched, staged and presented by the students themselves.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade expressed his hope that through the program, the awareness and responsibility of students towards national fuel and energy resources will be raised, as well as the passion and creativity to find new solutions to use energy economically and effectively; furthermore, to find and exploit new energy sources, renewable energy, green and clean energy to contribute to ensuring national energy security.

“Energy saving is not only for students but also for many other subjects; students are the best image to spread and send messages about energy responsibility to the community and society. On the other hand, promoting energy saving for students is also a long-term investment, the knowledge about energy saving today will contribute to forming their awareness of the goal of firmly ensuring national energy security, responding to climate change and protecting the environment in general” – Mr. Hai emphasized.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the "Lightning" team, the second prize to the "Blue Wave" team and the third prize to the "Light" team.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties in their studies and handed over a classroom model that meets standard lighting and saves energy.
