This is the place where many patriotic Can Vuong scholars were imprisoned, such as Mr. Nguyen Xuan On, Mr. Ho Ba Kien, Mrs. Tran Thi Tram, Doi Quyen, Doi Phan, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khiem, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh and thousands of steadfast communist soldiers such as comrades: Nguyen Xuan Linh, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Phan Dang Luu, Ho Tung Mau, Chu Van Bien, Ton Thi Que, Le Viet Luong, Phan Dinh Dong, Ngo Tuan, Vo Trong An, Le Nhu, Chu Huy Man, Tran Van An...
Like many other prisons built at that time, with the purpose of destroying patriots and revolutionary soldiers both physically and mentally, the colonial government implemented harsh prison regimes from food to torture. However, those sinister plots and tricks could not subdue the political prisoners of Vinh Prison.

In the dark and harsh prison, the soldiers turned this place into a revolutionary school, a place to train the will, political mettle, and revolutionary spirit of communist soldiers. They were the ones who lit the fire of patriotism and the spirit of national independence.
To express gratitude and honor the great contributions of generations of patriots and revolutionary soldiers who were captured, imprisoned and sacrificed by the enemy at Vinh Prison, and at the same time spread the revolutionary spirit and will of the soldiers among all classes of people, especially the young generation, the Department of Culture and Sports directed the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum to organize a special exhibition: "Memories of Vinh Prison".
