Nghe An: 175 F1 of community cases in a mountainous commune were traced.

Morning of December 11,Nghe Anrecorded 37 cases of Covid-19 infection, including 5 community cases. Notably, 3 community cases were recorded in Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district, bringing the number of F0 cases in this locality to 22 cases in just a few days.

These 3 community infections all reside in Lam Truong village, Tien Phong commune. For now, the locality has locked down 7 households and traced those who have been in close contact with these F0s. These are considered relatively complicated cases because the house is located at a 3-way intersection, there are many people traveling around, and they work in the grocery business, so there have been many people in contact in the past. For now, 30 F1s of these cases have been traced, and the number of F1s is expected to increase because the patients are still declaring.

Faced with the potential for F0 cases in the community, Tien Phong commune has asked for Que Phong district's opinion to organize large-scale screening tests including villages with F0 cases, threatened villages and high-risk areas with a population of about 5,000 people to promptly separate suspected cases from the community.

Up to now, the whole Tien Phong commune has had 175 F1. Due to the relatively large number of F1, the locality has opened an additional centralized quarantine point at the Na Cay Community Cultural House. Previously, there were 2 points: Na Cang Resettlement Area and Phuong Tien 2 Community Cultural House. F1 who do not meet the conditions for home quarantine will be taken to centralized quarantine at these points.

Through the discussion, Ms. Lo Thi Nguyet - Vice Chairman of Que Phong District People's Committee said: "Tien Phong Commune is currently the epidemic center of Que Phong District, the district is focusing human resources and material resources to support this locality in suppressing the epidemic. On the morning of December 11, the district deployed nearly 1,000 samples including 2 schools, 2 villages and related cases in this locality, the results showed 19 suspected cases are currently running PCR confirmation. In the coming time, the district will deploy large-scale sampling to promptly separate and determine the location of the isolated area to focus on suppressing the epidemic".
