(Baonghean.vn)- After arresting Cau while transporting fireworks, Yen Thanh District Police arrested the owner of this shipment, seizing a total of 98kg of fireworks.
At 12 noon on December 19, at Tay Ho hamlet, Nam Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Yen Thanh district police arrested Nguyen Tho Cau (residing in Nam Thanh commune) while he was transporting 19.5 kg of foreign-made firecrackers.

Through the investigation, the subject confessed to buying these fireworks from Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen (born in 1969, residing in Tay Ho hamlet, Nam Thanh commune).
Immediately, Yen Thanh District Police issued an emergency arrest warrant, searched Ms. Quyen's residence, and seized from the attic a cardboard box containing 30 foreign-made fireworks of 36 pieces each, and a bag of firecrackers weighing nearly 80kg in total.
Initially, Nguyen Thi Quyen confessed to buying the fireworks to sell for profit during Tet. At the police station, the woman burst into tears.
The case is currently under further investigation.
