Many villages in the Northwestern district of Nghe An were isolated due to floods.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the impact of storm No. 4, Que Phong district experienced heavy rain, rising water levels in rivers and lakes, isolating many villages.
At the spillway points of Ban Ta, Quang Phong commune, route 9+73.5km was severely damaged, nearly half of the bridge collapsed completely. The commune has put up warning signs, but due to demand, many people still risked their lives to cross. Many roads leading to Dong Van, Thong Thu, Nam Nhong communes... suffered landslides.

Due to the high mountainous terrain, many rocky mountains, prolonged heavy rains have created large and small waterfalls, separating communes and villages. According to statistics, there are currently 8 villages of Tri Le commune (including Ban Don, Cam Ai, Chot, Huoi Moi 1, Huoi Moi 2, Huoi Xai 1, Huoi Xai 2, Muong Long) and Nam Giai commune completely isolated. Currently, the villages are still unable to contact by phone, and the damage cannot be estimated.

In addition, some rice fields in Nam Giai, Chau Kim and Muong Noc communes were also flooded.
Faced with that situation, on August 30, Que Phong district established two delegations including the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee to inspect the situation of flood prevention and overcoming consequences.
